It will be hard to find a list like that. Probably impossible. I don't think ATT would release that kind of info to the public. When I set up a game watching location for our alumni chapter (UGA), I just made sure the bar had all our games available (if they were broadcast). If the bar wants your business they'll get the games. If you don't mind me asking, why does it have to be Uverse? What College?

Yeah, as long as they get the channel that gets the game and are willing to host, I don't see why the TV provider matters.

In fact, due to the fact that U-Verse can only show four different channels at once, I doubt U-Verse is high up on a bar's list.... although, to be fair, U-Verse might be a fine "backup system." A lot of bars have DirecTV for NFL Sunday Ticket and they'll have a backup system in case the DirecTV goes out.

But with U-Verse, put on ESPN, ESPN2, one of the local channels or an FSN with the "local game" and that's already 3/4 streams allowed...or you're full if you're further from the VRAD.

If you wander in to the AT&T web page areas for Business U-verse and click on TV, there's a split between TV for Private Viewing and Public viewing.  The Private veiwing takes you to a U-verse TV page.  The Public Viewing link (with the subtext "Turn your business into a hot destination with TV service for bars, restaurants, and more.") takes you to this DirecTV service page:

http://www.att.com/smallbusiness/content/shop/internet-phone-tv/public-viewing-tv.page?bref=IBocsbint00000l2l

So... U-verse TV in bars for public viewing, No.  DirecTV, Think Possible.

It likely has to do with the terms of the agreements the two companies have written with the video providers.  This may converge with the next 3 to 4 years of contracts.

As a side note, locations such as doctor/dentist/hair salon can order TV service for waiting room areas that are not considered entertainment income areas. These business services however cannot order a DVR for recording, receivers only.

Oddly enough, I'm sure that same business could get a slingbox connection to the business owner's home...at that point, they'd have DVR, etc...but by then, it wouldn't matter what the business owner had at their private residence --- AT&T, DirecTV, local cable, etc.

They would also most assuredly be violating the terms of service of whatever account they had with their home provider.  While they won't take much notice of a student watching his parents TV from his college dorm room, or in a hotel while travelling, there are people who do check public performance situations like this.  Heck, ASCAP and/or BMI occasionally call on businesses about unlicensed performances on a company's hold music.

OOooooo yeah...good point.

When I worked in a distribution center, some of the loading docks had privately-owned FM radios that the employees would bring in to play tunes to help pass the time. Had ASCAP found out about that, I'm sure they'd be mad.

@baseballisback   Probably not, not being provided by the company. 😉

Agree with Chris.  Personal radios in the work place for the personal enjoyment of a few employees vs. music provided by the company where customers are intended to hear it are two very different things.

When I go to a bar, a restaurant, a gym or any public place that has a TV on, the last thing I care about is what is the establishment's provider, as long as they have a program that looks interesting.  In fact, I also don't even think about what channels/networks they carry either or even what channel/network the TV is tuned to.

The OP's group obviously has a certain subject matter in mind, i.e. they're trying to arrange a VIEWING party, so it matters to them whether or not they can view the particular program they want on a regular basis.  I'm going to go out on a limb and say they're looking for somewhere that has the SEC Network available.  And they know AT&T U-verse was the initial provider to sign on for the SEC Network.  Unfortunately, well, that's not going to matter, because the bar won't be able to legally provide U-verse-provided video to the patrons.

That might be an issue. I only did a brief search, but it looks like their games would mostly be on the PAC12 network. DirectTV, which is the largest provider of TV service to bars and restaurants, doesn't carry PAC12 currently. Neither does Charter

As has been discussed above, Uverse doesn't provide service to public places. That leaves Dish Network as the only option.

The post below is several years old, but it lists several places in St. Charles that have Dish. It might be a good starting point, especially if you can get your group to cross the river. Perhaps you can call more local Texas Roadhouses and ask if they have Dish.

Dag, I stand corrected!  I didn't realize they even have a page detailing all the bars that carry a specific provider/channel!

Anyway, here ya go.

St. Charles, MO: Eddie’s Pub, El Caporal, Texas Roadhouse, Pizza Hut, Main Street Bistro, El Tio Pepe
