Hooking up Vizio Sound Stand to UVerse box
I have a Panasonic LCD TV hooked up to my uVerse box. I just purchased a Vizio 2.0 Sound Stand to enhance the sound for my TV. What is the best way to hook all this up? I have an Optical connection on the Vizio unit and on the uVerse box. Is it as simple as connecting the two ports with the opitcal cable supplied by Vizio?

@ThoDmas - Yes, if you just view u-verse. If you view other sources, look for an optical output on the TV. Although, for some TVs that works only for Over the Air, not HDMI inputs.
Then you may want to change the STB from stereo to surround.
Are you always going to use the sound bar or just sometimes. Always - turn off the speakers in the TV. Sometimes, you have to mute the TV when you use the soundbar.
Also, affects the vol on the remote - Now set for TV. IF you cannot get it to control the Vizio, set it for the STB.
