UVERSE Downgrade Effective Date

Hello - I recently downgraded my TV service but also just paid the full amount for the service earlier in the month. I would assume that my existing service would resume until the end of my billing cycle; however, my TV programs were cut off immediately and I was not given any prorated amount for the TV service.

How does this work? Because I see this important note on your page that reads:

Heads up: Your updated package and new pricing won't take effect until your next bill period. We can’t refund or credit you for partial months or unwatched content.

I see where you're coming from. AT&T quit doing terminal prorates, so if you disconnect you get no refund. I can see them wanting to do that with downgrades, too, but only if (as you highlighted) the change doesn't actually take effect until your cycle date.

Unfortunately, I've not downgraded in well over a year, so I can't give you the benefit of my current experience.
