UVerse TV continues to lose signal at the exact time everyday

I recently called in with problem with my receiver and they sent me a new one. I have installed the new one and it is worse than the other one. Since 1:01am I have not been able to watch tv. It continually loses signal and about a minute later it regains it only to stay on for another 30 sec to 1 min to lose it again. Several times it has told me that network settings has changed and it needs to restart, so I restart it and it does it again. This happens every night at the exact time and continues for atleast an hour. I have gone thru all the troubleshoot online help where it has restarted my receiver and my gateway but yet again the next night it happens again. Can someone please help! Thanks

- Is the receiver with the issue wired or wireless?

- Is the DVR box or other receiver STBs also affected?

- When you lose TV signal, are all the lights on the residential gateway still green?

- If you receiver is wireless, what status are the lights on the wireless access point?

- When you lose TV signal, is there any affect on other wireless devices like a laptop or smart phone?

It is a wireless receiver and it is only one receiver that is affected.
My internet access still works and it is at 1:01am everyday and does it for about an hour. The lights are still green from what I have seen, but it goes on and off so frequent that it's hard to know. There is one light I saw say go off on the WAP, so I unplugged it for 10 sec and plugged it back in just for it to do it again. I have reset the gateway, receiver and DVR and nothing fixes it.

I have had this same problem for the past 6 months or more now.  Every night at 11:01 PDT I lose signal on my two wireless STBs, the main wired one is fine. Some times it is off for over an hour even though I reboot box and access point multiple times. Generally happens 5 nights in a row, then is fine for 4 weeks then starts again like clock work.  Internet connection is not affected when this occurs.  It is really annoying and have had AT&T out to check things out and it still happens.  Please tell me how to resolve this. It must be a problem with the signal not my equipment.

Howdy @Feddupp and @Dmdzlpwr.  Both of you should send a private message to the escalation team at AT&T Customer Care, and someone will get in touch with you.  Fedd, you have put up wirth this for six months?  Mmmmkay.

I am having this exact same issue. What is the fix for this problem?

Tech came out, replaced things just to appease me, and it stopped happening for awhile....Now it is worse than ever and goes out for about an hour every night at 11:02pm.  Of course I am not able to contact anyone at that time and I just want to calme down and watch TV, but I am not able to.  Guess it is time to tell them to go F@@@ themselves and read books.

I am having the same issues at the same times.  I live alone and have NOTHING on timers.  There are at least three threads out here regarding the same issue at either 11 p.m at night or 1 a.m, (I'm on CST).

This is nothing but a runaround.

Any fix for this problem yet? We have had this problem every night at 1:01am (central time) since we had the service installed four months ago. Drives me batty. Pretty sure it’s on AT&T’s end (maybe an update that runs each night?) it usually gives me a message that the settings have changed and asks me if I want to restart. Doesn’t seem to make a difference which option we choose, we still lose service for at least 15 minutes and it’s a huge pain when trying to watch or record anything after midnight.

I've had this issue with the wireless receiver in my bedroom for a couple years or more. It always starts happening right around 1am ct or not long after. What's weird though it that is usually only happens if I try to watch SD channels after 1am like Antenna TV, MeTV or even the SD version of channels that are usually viewed in HD. If I make sure not to watch SD channels through it after 1am things are fine usually. I've switched out the STB and the wireless access point. I've wondered if HD channels are received differently signal wise than SD ones in regards to the wireless receivers. There's no other devices, timers or anything else going on in my home that would cause interference. The green lights will disappear on the receiver when it happens while as others have noted the internet connection is never affected.

I still haven't been able to get anyone from AT&T to admit that it is
problem after 3-4 years of messing with this issue. They keep saying it's
likely caused by some power-surge issue in an apartment building or from
some type of timer-set appliance ... but I live in a single family home, by
myself, on rural acreage and have NOTHING in my home on a timer.

I've pretty much given up. I haven't received any response that indicates
they are ever going to look into it, regardless of the multiple reports of
this for years.

I haven't noticed anything specific to what service I'm using at the time,
usually I'm playing my recorded news programs off the DVR when it happens.
This is limited to the wireless receiver in my bedroom and it loses the
connection to the main receiver/DVR in the living room, so loses it's
signal and the recorded program listing, then has to re-connect and re-load
the list of recorded show on the DVR .... all in all, about 4-5 minutes.

I'm in Houston and have had this issue for so long it's ridiculous. Now I'm seeing this has been ongoing for years for others? I just today had the WPA replaced and Wireless Receiver replaced several months ago. Guess those were pointless. Anyone have their DVR and Modem replaced too? (U-Verse) I really wish I could pinpoint the date this started but it's been at least 2 or 3 years. I do not stay up late every night but when I do I get (Edited per community guidelines) off every time. It happens while watching live or recorded at 1:01am CST. Every single night. Without fail. Now I should add that when the wireless receiver box was replaced it stopped for 6 weeks. Then it went right back to this problem like nothing changed. When the heck is AT&T going to own up to this being a major issue they refuse to fix? Seriously.

My TV goes black at exactly 11:01 every night and no tech seems to know how to fix it.  I just fell into this community forum by accident and just read some of the post.  I have gone to Santa Clarita, Ca, City Hall who has a contract with AT&T who got me to some one high up in the company who in turn said they'd  be sending their best tech out (the 4th one I believe) and it still happening. They made it seem like I was the only one having this problem. But now that I see all these post that have had to known this has been going on for years. Has any solutions been found since this all started, according to some over five years ago?
