WGN and other terminated channels owned by Nexstar
Discovered last night that Uverse took away WGN. I am disgusted. Can't even find a link to view the current announcement of channel changes. Cost keeps going up, yet number of channels provided keeps decreasing. I give up.

I’m just realizing now I can no longer view CBS, FOX nor WISH local Channel 8 in the Indianapolis market via AT&T / U-Verse…is this correct? Why in the world would I continue to pay over $150 a month when I can’t get access to two major nationwide networks, and the leading and 2nd oldest station in the Indy market. I have been an AT&T customer for over 20 years - this is absolutely ridiculous. I would request a private conversation with an AT&T specialist to review my account as I’m about ready to take the $325 a month package I pay elsewhere.

I am unable to request the $10 rebate from Uverse for loss of Nexstar. How do you do it?

Why is UVERSE allowed to remove an ABC affiliate (one of the main three networks in this country) from my UVERSE because NexStar is trying to extort money from them? I pay for ABC, NBC, CBS and all other networks in my plan. Shouldn't they at least have to provide an alternative until their negotiations with NextStar is complete? Or what about some sort of refund on my bill (yeah, right, not this money grubbing company)? I need ABC returned IMMEDIATELY or I'll call Comcast to start the switch over. I've been a UVERSE customer for many years, and this is the SECOND time my ABC affiliate has been removed due to NextStar's greed and I've had enough.
Additionally, why is channel 578/1578 missing from my package? What package do I need in order to get FETV if it's not part of what I'm already paying too much for?

All:
The companies that own the affiliates (Nexstar, Sinclair, CBS, Fox, Comcast, et al) are given two options:
1) Force the TV providers to carry the channels for free. This is called "must-carry."
2) Force the providers to pay for something we can watch for free with an antenna.
Guess which one they all choose?
The providers know that we can watch these channels for free. Naturally, they don't want to raise the prices too much because they know competition exists.
Nexstar wants double what they're currently getting.

It'd be great if people read, but when they can start a thread without being in that forum, there's no incentive to read.

I'm a U-verse tv customer in good standing, I really hate it when things like this happens. Like most other things in our daily lives, just about everything is always about money, some companies just can't seem to get enough of it to be satisfied, in this particular it's the nexstar corporation who's trying to be greedy.

When will this dispute be over, I now am without ABC and CBS. I have contacted another service and am seriously considering switching. I have never used another service. I am so disappointed and frustrated. We cannot even get any answers if we are lucky enough to get a human to talk to. And please dont say that you understand my frustration because if you did you would get this over with.

I have been patient with the disruption of service of 2 local channels. I am getting to the point were I am seriously thinking about switching providers. This along with a price increase to get an extra box for my house, when I was eligible for 4 boxes to begin with and never used them all. This has left a bitter taste in my mouth for ATT Uverse. Its a shame to lose a customer that has been with you for almost 20 years, but doesn't seem like ATT really cares. I know that I will be switching back to Verizon for my cellular phone, reception in areas that I visit is awful.

Ask your prospective new providers when their retransmit agreements with Nexstar and your other local station owners expire so you know how long your honeymoon with them could be good for.

It has been over 3 weeks that WGN Channel 9 has been off your service due to a contractual dispute re price. Do whatever you need to do to resume this channel. At the price you are charging me, I should be able to get WGN. I plan to cut the cord shortly and completely do streaming.
