I recorded American got talent on 06/04/2019 and when I went to watch it, it had been removed from my line up. So I missed my show, totally ticked off. When I checked ch16 (NBC) tonight, NBC has also removed American Ninja warriors. Is all of ch16 NBC removed. If I cannot watch or record my shows then I do not see any reason to continue to pay for your svc, I am not under contract. I hope this problem is fixed soon. My zip is 97420.

When is the anticipated timeline for the contract renewal between U-verse with Flint-Saginaw-Bay City, MI WEYI? Will customers be compensated for the loss of this and other networks in their chosen plan? This may be the tipping point of my 57 year partnership with AT&T. Since I bundle and am dissatisfied, if I leave I’ll take internet, mobile and tv service elsewhere.

I called WEYI - TV in Flint, Michigan, but was not able to make contact with anyone. I did some research, and it appears that the contract dispute between WEYI and AT&T is a dispute between the ownership of WEYI and DirecTV. This is a U-Verse forum.

Here are some web sites that give information about the situation. Due to the fact that almost all of us on this forum are AT&T customers just like you, there is no one here who can give you any inside information about what is going on during this time, or even when WEYI will return to the DirecTV lineup. Contract disputes like this happen all the time, and most come to a successful conclusion.

I’m not sure anyone can predict when the current contract dispute will be settled.  🙄

For those asking when an agreement is expected to be reached and when the channel will be back on, there is no answer. Both sides will continue negotiating until an agreement is reached. It takes as long as it takes. Hopefully sooner than later, but nobody can promise they will have agreed by a certain point as they cannot predict the future.

For those who keep putting in your zip code, the information is publicly available. Go to https://tvpromise.att.com/ where you can put in your zip in the box further down on the page for any negotiation information in the area.

TVPromise is total garbage.  Does nothing to solve problem of ATT getting too big for OUR own good.  They think they can bleed us and everyone they negotiate with.  And not even any heads up let alone any mention of compensation to loyal consumers who are the real victims in all this blood money negotiations.

Of course this is never the network's problem, only the carriers.  This entire thread is a example of exactly what the (local) networks are counting on.  Whenever this comes up I keep hoping that once, just once, a carrier (att in our case) will stand their ground and not buckle to the pressure and tell the network to take a hike.  Yes, the carrier will lose some customers (sorry for those that are in caught up in this position) but the network will loose precious rating points, and that translates to advertising dollars they will lose too.  Maybe if someone once called their bluff they wouldn't be as greedy as they are every time renegotiations come up so our annual increases don't go up as much either.  Because, in the end, we're the ones paying for all this crap.

AS of June 16, 2019 I am unable to watch programming (35 & 1035) I essentially signed up with AT&T Uverse to watch.  My family hates sports, and canned laughter sit coms.  We like the DC programming.  I also refuse to  use Time Warner, and ComCast as they have been a source of problems for clients.  I am a computer technician and the folks at these companies are Duffuses whose sales people have encouraged clients to not use antivirus software.

There is some programming we watch occasionally, but I am going to need a huge discount from Uverse to keep using.  I am also sick to death of "This commercial was brought to you by the program you are watching."

Agreement between them comes up so channel owner pulls the feed to try and use us customers as leverage to get higher rates. They count on customers being upset enough to leverage the TV provider to give in to their demands. If that happens, then our bills go up that much more. Locals are free over the air, regardless of what provider you have. So why should the providers, and us customers, keep paying more and more for those broadcasts that are free over the airways?

Most people don't like commercials. But if the advertisers were not paying for that advertising space on the channel or program, think how much higher our bills would be. TV providers don't control programming or content, they just rebroadcast the transmission. The negotiating table on rates and package options is where they have some influence, but negotiating is a two-way street.

TV providers will not give you a huge discount because you don't like what is on TV or that a channel pulls the feed (as is their right as they own the channel, not Uverse or DirecTV). You can certainly discuss with the provider on a lower costing package that best matches what is currently available. You can ask if your account my qualify for any discounts in general, but they are not guaranteed. All TV providers have in their terms that channels and programming are subject to change as they do not own them

Same here! I pay too much money every month for this to be ok! Fix it, AT&T or you'll be losing me as a customer.
