We just lost fox 5 out of Springfield Mo. The MLB All-star game is on an we cant receive it. What a bunch of crap!!!!!! If this is how your going to treat customers, were out and will find another provider.
I’m missing cbs football season is around the corner and I’m already missing young and the restless. I call att today and they said as soon as they get everything back there going to refund some money but if they don’t have cbs on by next month I’m done with them
MY UNDER UNDERSTANDING IS THAT THESE AIRWAYS WAS SUPPOSED TO BE FREE TO THE PIBLIC.
Not really that free considering the FCC decided to sell off half of "our" "free" TV frequencies to the wireless companies. And I wonder how many of the 175 stations (pdf) across the country who shared in the $10 billion (reference is a April 2017 article so it may be somewhat out of date) the wireless companies paid to those stations for the channel repacking (and who just didn't take the money and run, i.e., go black, cease operation) have the gall to be part of this extortion they are trying to pull off. Just an fact thought I thought worth mentioning.
NBC is suppose to be a public airwave. I am not going to switch back and forth between cable boxes and antennas each time they decide to hold the airwaves hostage. We requested to be reimbursed for the inconvenience and received $25 off our current bill, (assuming $5 x 5 days so far since July 4th). Not until people complain or it hits their pockets will they budge. In the meantime, we are shopping around for other providers. Seems counterproductive to lose customers over contract negotiations. Competitors will be the ones that win. So I guess they will have AT&T reps out in our neighborhood going door-to-door again next year trying to reclaim sales. Good luck with that.
I have had enough of no NBC! I was able to stream it from the app on my TV for a few days and now I can’t even do that! Most of the shows I watch are on NBC. This has gone on long enough and shouldn’t have even happened. You can negotiate and still give us NBC. I WANT NBC BACK!!
I don't see this forum doing any good so I am going to opt out and find another provider even if my contract is not up and if ATT & Direct TV try to charge me for time on my contract I will sue them for breach of contract. I signed up for a specific package with specific channels and I am not being provided that so they are in breach of contract.

There is no breach of contract. Like all other TV providers, terms of service state that channels may change at any time. They don't own the channels after all, so there is never a guarantee that any specific channel will always be there. If you cancel, your early cancellation fee (ECF) would be fully valid.

I agree with your statement. Now att wants send a additional antenna for local channels. This is not acceptable, so if this problem soon I’ll be canceling Directv and pay NO PENALTY
I was watching a stream of NBC on July 3, and there was NO MENTION that just hired hours later, the feed would be pulled. The fact is At&t should have notified it's customers, but chose not to do so.
Nexstar's PR people will have you believe that AT&T declined an offer to keep programming on while negotiations were ongoing. They will also have you believe that AT&T simply walked away with mintues to go.
At&T's PR people will have you believe that they requested Nexstar to keep programming on during negotiations, but instead simply chose to pull the feed as a negotiation tactic.
Clearly, one company isn't being honest about the situation. If I'm paying At&t each month to retransmit the local stations, why do I need to get digital antenna?
It's coming up on one week now without NBC (or other locals for other markets)..Broadcast companies should not be allowed to hold their programming as a negotiating technique to get what they want.

If you have a service agreement on the account then you would pay a penalty in the form of your early cancellation fee (ECF). No TV provider guarantees any specific channel always being there. Since they don't own the channels there is always the possibility that the channels, or the content on them, may change at any time. As such TV providers put a clause confirming that channels may change whenever.

Your "Free" TV service is only free if you are using an HD Antenna, using DirecTV, you are paying for the service and "Free" TV Networks have to pay to have them carry their networks just like the cable channels, As far as a "Breach of Contract" there is none, go back and read your contract this is a contract dispute between AT&T and Nexstar ( owner of the affected areas), so we don't get NBC. I have the small HD antennas on my TVs so when weather blocks the signal I just switch to the HD Antenna and have no problems.
