AT&T/DirecTV did NOT remove/block/pull the channels in this case. What is happening is the owner of your local affiliate pulled the feed. It is time for them to negotiate and the local affiliate wants higher rates. Check https://tvpromise.att.com/ where you select your TV provider (DirecTV, Uverse, Directv Now) and put in Zip Code and it will explain the situation.
All those saying you will switch providers over this, be aware that no provider is immune as they don't own the channels. The channel owner will get to each provider in turn when their agreement comes up.
These are free locals otherwise. Plug in a antenna on your TV and get the free broadcast. Don't give in to these local's demands to further raise our bills. If you are in a place that does not receive any local reception, then I am sorry as you will just have to wait out the negotiation.

First we lost programing for channel 58 on direct TV .We have had price increases after ATT took over direct TV and now its Channel two CBS .Enough is enough . Price increases and scaled back channels .We can change providers since we are not receiving a discounted rate so color us gone .
The fact that I no longer get NBC channel anymore. It just shows me a website to go to that doesn't mean a thing. If I don't get it back that's it I quit.
We live in the mountains 40 miles from Portland OR. Because of the terrain an antenna does not work. Cable is not available. No fiber optic lines have been run and no company plans on upgrading the old copper lines. We are forced to rely on satellite services to obtain any local programming. Welcome to rural America.

Where is WDTN (channel 2)? If we don't get that channel I sure don't need you.
