“I spoke with an AT&T executive yesterday in response to my email to the CEO. She informed me that CBS is gone. They are no longer in negotiations. I lost NBC, CBS and she said in August I could lose FOX and in Sept I could lose ABC as those contracts are up for renewal.”
Good job!! I am tired of being jerked around or placaided too. Since ATT took over they have gotten even colder. Last summer our receivers went out. We were sent some used ones and the installer said ATT had upgrades that were being put in not the old ones. I called to talk to someone about it and then her supervisor. He was very rude and when I threatened to leave he said ok should I unhook right now? Unbelievable!!! What has happened to Direct TV? Now we lose the Nexstar channels and their response is “we didn’t guarantee all channels”. Wow. Makes me sick. My sister said she switched by to cable as they never have these problems. Definitely going to check it out. [Per Guidelines: Keep it Relevant and Appropriate].
Yes, unfortunately i live in a rural area and we only have two choices Direct tv or Dish satellite and i heard dish is losing local channels too im screwed and mad!
We rely on these 4 channels. This is so political. So far, where we live, we have only lost NBC, and we are missing it terribly. We are 84 and 85 years old, so TV is our ONLY entertainment. Of course, today, with the hearings, we didn't need ANY of them. That rerun later in the day was uncalled for. What a racket. Our son uses a small antenna in a window, free totally, and gets many channels. He has offered to set this up for us. However, I have really liked ATT UVerse--until now. The new box they installed has to much hesitation, that we miss many sentences and phrases of every channel. We don't understand what this is all about. Nobody at ATT has an answer for us. Since we have been with A T & T since we had to choose a long distance company, and hate to leave them, but sometimes, we have to make sensible choices. Carolyn H

This has nothing to do with politics. AT&T (U-Verse and DirecTV) are negotiating with the channel owner regarding the next carriage deal. Business negotiations plain and simple.
It is always suggested to keep a regular antenna, even a simple indoor one. Not only does it give you a backup during these negotiation times (that all TV providers go through at one time or another), but it may even pick up additional channels within range that you will never get through your pay TV provider.

I have been with AT&T for years but there are a lot of other choices to pick from. We shouldn't be losing our local TV channels makes me wounder as so many others if we should stay or not.when we can go to other carriers that have these stations. Wake up AT&T your not the only one out there.
CBS and AT&T want everyone to pay more for their channels. GREEDY bunch of people and corporations! I miss the channels but will not accept going the CBS All Access! Good-buy crooks!
They lost almost a million subscribers in the second quarter knocking them down to number two behind Comcast. I’m for everybody here seeing if we can knock them down further. Call the competition folks. You have nothing to lose and might even be pleasantly surprised.
I cant believe they removed chanel 2 and 9 those are the main source to get the news if you dont solve the problem I will change providers immediately.
