When are you going to resolve the problem with TEGNA?

When are you going to resolve the problem with TEGNA?  It's disrupting my service in watching WFSS (channel 8 - ABC) in my area.  Customers should not have to deal with the petty problems between Uverse and TEGNA.  Work it out or lose a long time subscriber.

I am counting the days without KSDK.  While I know I pay WAY TOO MUCH for ATT&T UVerse, I do it for internet and some tv, mostly my local KSDK station and a few shows on NBC.  Not going to stick around much longer, as there are other cheaper options.  Very disappointed that AT&T is taking advantage of a pandemic.

Could u please tell us why TEGNA has removed our channel from AT&T U-verse?  I’m a retired disabled RN, therefore I enjoy my CBS Young & Restless, Bold & Beautiful, and Dr. Phil throughout my day.  This is enjoyment for me as well as millions of other Americans.  
My husband and I have been customers for over   forty years.  As well as, my parents were AT&T employees who were retirees of the company.
 
I don’t think we’re asking for much, the program s are prerecorded for our viewing so please clear your differences and put our CBS CHANNEL back on air in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Contract negotiations broke down when Tenga wanted a billion dollars (no joke) which would translate into a $10-20 month increase in our bill.

Check your "Interactive Page" on the remote to see if locast is available in your market.

Don't mess with old people.  The older we get, the less "Life in Prison" is a deterrent.

Please advise how negotiations are going with TEGNA and when NBC might be returning to Direct TV.  I have read everything on tvpromise.com and that doesn't really explain anything regarding time frame for NBC to be back in the lineup. Thank you.

Need to know the answer to this question, so that I can make arrangements to be able to get this channel again.  It is the local channel we watch the most, and it is very important to us.  If you are no longer going to carry it than I will need to get it through another company.

It will be back whenever Directv and the station owner reach an agreement. No one here knows when that will be. This happens to every tv provider. If you switch to another provider, it will eventually happen there too.

The only way to guarantee you'll never lose locals no matter what tv provider you have is to use an antenna locals are FREE over the air with an antenna

They both need to get the agreement done as people depend on wfmy2 for their programming. There are customers who are not able the switch providers .. take into consideration the customers instead of your own needs... I am sure you all are marking plenty of money..

I am about sick and tired of not being able to see any nbc shows. When is this going to be resolved? I am VERY close to canceling Direct TV. I seriously am over paying nearly $200 a month for tv and we watch maybe 10 channels consistently. There are others we’d like to watch and they are not included in our package. We do not even have any movie channels and pay this much!!😡 Not having NBC is the last freaking straw!! We are going to buy a smart tv and get ROKU if this is not fixed right away!

We are now in Day Three without the NBC affiliate in Cleveland, OH for both UVerse and Direct TV.  This is ridiculous!!!  I am a long time customer but will be seeking alternative services since dealing with this.  Are we going to be compensated with discounts to our bill because you are not providing the channels we contracted for when signing up with AT&T?????

Several channels have been dropped from my package with no apparent replacements or rebates.

Many different customers have lost channels, myself included. Directv didn’t drop them, the station owner pulled them. You don’t get replacement channels because the FCC won’t allow it. Go to directvpromise.com to see status and see if you qualify for a bill credit.

How much longer are your customers going to have to put up with this horrendous service?  I am a retired AT&T employee and have never had to endure losing a channel.  Does AT&T have any intention of compensating their customers for this disruption in service?

I pay $190.00 with no move channels and it (Edited per community guidelines) me off that I don't  get NBC.

There is no guarantee of any specific channel. Unfortunately Tegna (the owner of the local affiliate channel, not NBC itself) pulled their feed. This is a normal negotiating tactic to leverage customers against the TV provider.

In the meantime use a regular antenna as a backup. Would also help for negotiations in the future with other locals. May even pull in additional channels in range, such as sub-channels, that cannot be provided otherwise.

So a notice pops up last week when we're watching ABC Evening News that states something to the effect that  "This channel is going to be dropped soon you have cable provided by ATT Uverse.  The channel where our local (Louisville) ABC affiliate used to be now explains that the channel has been dropped. This has been one of our favorite channels. I realize this is due to some kind of pricing dispute between to giants, ATT & Disney/ABC.  All I want is the darn channel restored. Does anyone have any idea when this channel will be restored?

We, as customers, have no idea what's going on.  The dispute is between the station owners (TEGNA) and AT&T.  It has nothing to do with Disney.

Until this dispute gets settled, you've got a few options:

1.  Use an antenna to get local channels.

2.  Access the network's streaming app.  In this case, ABC GO.

3.  Using the Go Interactive button on your Uverse remote, see if locast is offered in your market.

Don't mess with old people.  The older we get, the less "Life in Prison" is a deterrent.

Most likely no. The bill is the same regardless if you have 5, 20, or just 1 local channel. Only if you have no locals at all is the bill lower. This is because they flat rate locals across the packages, instead of have a specific cost for each person based on their address.

So Tegna pulling the feed away during negotiations does not affect current billing. Hopefully DirecTV doesn't cave to their high rates.

I hope AT&T / Directv will bring back CBS programs.  I enjoy a large number of CBS programs and to lose them (Edited per community guidelines).  I know there are other cable services out there and so should At&T

All TV providers have the same problem when their local channel contracts expire so going to another provider is only a short term fix.

Directv did not drop CBS. You lost your local CBS channel. My local CBS channel is still working fine. In my market, the local NBC channel is currently off. When you tune that channel you should see a notice with a web address. Please go to that web address and read why this is happening. You may even qualify for a bill credit. Switching to another provider is only a temporary fix because the same thing happens to all providers.
