When are you going to resolve the problem with TEGNA?

When are you going to resolve the problem with TEGNA?  It's disrupting my service in watching WFSS (channel 8 - ABC) in my area.  Customers should not have to deal with the petty problems between Uverse and TEGNA.  Work it out or lose a long time subscriber.

After losing TWO channels (6, 8) you only give a one-time $20 refund? Wow. My daily morning news program was on one of those channels. And there is so much more I'm (we're) missing. The refund feels like a pat on the head. Ridiculous. Please. Fix. This.

Do we know when we will get back CBS on our Uverse subscription in San Diego? It has been a couple of weeks and still no resolution between ATT and CBS. Maybe that is why ATT gave me HBO Max free, but it is NOT the same.

This is nonsense. TEGNA and ATT need to work this out yesterday, because it is inexcusable for us to go so long without our NBC TV -- and don't hand me a line about infernal Locast, which interrupts constantly and has to be watched on our laptop rather than our TV. Come to an agreement, or both of you can expect to lose us permanently.

I live in a remote area where we cannot receive a decent television signal for our "local" national networks, like ABC in Dallas, so we are forced to pay DirectTV for access to our local news, weather (critical during tornado season), and COVID information.  There is no cable TV here.  Yet, I now have a note on Channel 8 from DirectTV blaming WFAA for refusing to work with them to continue broadcasting.  I go to WFAA online and there is a note from them blaming DirectTV and AT&T for the same thing.  I don't care who is at fault.  We rely on our local network news. I am paying for something I am no longer receiving; in fact, I am paying for something that should be free.  FIGURE IT OUT WFAA.  FIGURE IT OUT DIRECTTV.  There are considerations greater than how many cents per household you pay or collect for broadcasting.  Getting local national network signals into every home should be considered an essential public service.

Sadly, it's not considered an "essential service". The corporations that own local stations, like Tegna owns WFAA, too often hold cable/satellite providers hostage when they demand more money to carry their stations. Local channels are not considered essential services. As such TV providers have no obligation to carry them or for the local affiliate owners (like Tegna) to give them to the TV providers.

Regardless of how each side "spins" it, the reality is that their carriage agreement came up. While negotiating for a new agreement, Tegna pulled their channel which is their right as they own it. Normal negotiations as much as we customers do not like it. Each side is trying to get the best deal. Keep in mind a better deal for the local affiliate means higher bills for us. After all DirecTV's costs go up then so do our bills. So regardless of opinion on who is in the right, a deal in Tegna's favor would not be in the customer's favor.

But as much as you don't like it, local signals are not an essential public service so there is no requirement to provide them. TV is still considered entertainment, even though it can have useful information.

When are you going to put NBC back on? I'm really angry about this. This is apart of programming package I'm paying for and I feel you are ripping me and other customers off . Make a deal for God's sake.  Some of my favourite shows are on NBC you've cut them right off in the middle of them. At least give me and other customers a discount on our already expensive monthly Bill's as long as you keep NBC off the air.Has greed taken over corporations that bad? Please make a deal and put NBC BACK ON!!!!

Tegna pulled the channel away to leverage customers against the TV provider. That is their right as much as we customer do not like it. Just normal negotiation tactics. Channel will be back whenever Tegna allows it.

As channels are subject to change, a clause all TV providers must have since they don't own the channel, there is no required discount. However, some people have gotten a one-time courtesy credit when they logged into their account.

I hope you are voicing your feelings to Tegna that is keeping the channel(s) off the air.

......in the meantime, you have a couple of options to watch NBC content:

1.  Use an OTA antenna

2.  See if locast is available in your market.

3.  Stream content via the networks app.  In this case, PeacockTV.

Side note:  Log into your account to claim a one-time $20 credit.

Don't mess with old people.  The older we get, the less "Life in Prison" is a deterrent.

Or the NBC app. It still exists too. Peacock doesn’t make everything available.

I’m recommending to my friends we all move to Spectrum. We all move you lose. Surely you can find a way to work things out with CBS. Give us SOME KIND OF HOPE. and by the way. Seems CBS was part of what I paid for.  I think we deserve a refund.

EVERY TV provider (AT&T/Spectrum/Dish) has to negotiate with station owners (TEGNA, ViaCom/Universal/etc.) so moving to another provider will not solve the problem. 

It might buy you a little time but it does not guarantee that you will never experience another outage.

Don't mess with old people.  The older we get, the less "Life in Prison" is a deterrent.

It isn't working things out with CBS - AT&T's relationship with CBS is fine (and my CBS station shows without problems).  The problem is with the owner of your CBS affiliate station - Tegna (which own's many stations for different networks across the country).  AT&T's carriage agreement with Tegna is up for renewal, and Tegna demanded a very large increase in fees.  As a negotiating "ploy", Tegna cut AT&T off from all their stations - all networks, nationwide - so that the end users (like you) would blame AT&T and not Tegna, and demand they fix it.  Certainly AT&T can work things out with Tegna - just give Tegna all the money they are demanding.  But if the do that, expect your bill to go up, perhaps substantially (especially with all the other stations see that they can jack up rates and win).  AT&T is apparently trying to negotiate a reasonable fee increase, and Tegna is apparently not willing, so right now there is an impasse.

When are you going to end this asinine dispute. The amount of money I pay you, you should be setting here reading me books while it is ongoing. Either end this or you set here and listen to my wife grill my (Edited per community guidelines) as to why I haven't already gone with another provider! You don't seem to understand that that dish is no treat and having to go out and clear snow so that I get a signal or loose signal every time a cloud rolls by, just when I would really like to get the weather report. You're sales people said they would save me money. They doubled my monthly cost. Fix this or you're fired!!!!!!!!!

I'm with you 100%.  I pay a lot of $$$ each month for this service, and if I have to rely on antenna or streaming for major network (NBC channel 13 WTHR in Indianapolis), I may as well kiss ATT Uverse goodbye and use my antenna and streaming for everything we watch.  RESOLVE YOUR ISSUES WITH TEGNA!  I should have to be the one prodding TEGNA.  That's YOUR job - I'm paying YOU for it!
