When are you going to resolve the problem with TEGNA?

When are you going to resolve the problem with TEGNA?  It's disrupting my service in watching WFSS (channel 8 - ABC) in my area.  Customers should not have to deal with the petty problems between Uverse and TEGNA.  Work it out or lose a long time subscriber.

CBS has been missing from our channel lineup for over a week. This is absolutely unacceptable and I will switch to another provider if this issue isn’t resolved immediately

Dish has disputes with at least eight different companies. Some of them have been going on since 2019, if not even longer.

AT&T seems to settle most disputes within a month or so.

I need to know when channel 11 is coming back on? I’m missing my shows. If it is not coming back soon I need to look for another provider that has channel 11 and 36.

The owner of the local affiliates (Tegna) has pulled the feed to get a better deal for themselves by leveraging customers. It will be back when they allow it.

Finding another provider would not save you as they all go through these negotiations. Unfortunately the trend in recent years is local affiliate owners pulling the channels, which is their right. Other providers are going through similar negotiations with local affiliates.

So a regular antenna, locast, any streaming the local itself may have, or watching other of your many channels are your backup options. Consider that these are free over the regular airway channels that most of us didn't go to pay TV for.

First, I'm really annoyed that this happens -- your customers have to suffer because you can't find middle ground with a local affiliate.

I'm in the Columbus, Ohio, area and it seems that AT&T and the local CBS affiliate (channel 10) have been in a contract dispute for the last few weeks.

Look. We're in a freakin' global pandemic and the only little bit of joy that can be had is watching sports on the weekend. Today, I was totally unable to watch a decent NFL game on TV because of this stupidity.

WHEN WILL I GET MY CHANNEL BACK??? Also, I want an on-going credit on my monthly bill until this is resolved.

I just got a  pop-up on directv.com after signing into my account for a $20 credit.  Since I currently don't watch anything on NBC (the network in my market that TEGNA owns), I win :)

When are we getting NBC again? This is getting ridiculous.

Ask your local station (I assume owned by Tegna) when they will negotiate a compromise with AT&T rather than holding out for their demand for much higher fees.  If AT&T just gives in, expect your subscription fee to go up.

Add me to the list of frustrated customers not getting a TEGNA station.  We customers pay you big money for this service.  Why do you feel you have to get big money from the broadcast services, too??  The bottom line isn't everything.  Service to he customer should count for something.  How about a rebate on my monthly fee for not providing what you promised?

It's a breach of contract to charge customers full price when you no longer stream NBC channels.  Are you providing customers with a discount to cover this loss of service?

Note: This comment was created from a merged conversation originally titled Why am I paying full price when you no longer show NBC channels?

You have obviously never read your contract/Terms of Service. All TV providers have a clause that states channels/programming/services may change at any time. They don't own the channels so cannot force them to stay. You get access to locals in your package, not any given local guaranteed.

Sorry but there is no breach of contract here.

Just remember that the $20 credit is a one-time courtesy. They have no requirement to provide it. They are working within the rules, so yelling "breach of contract" based on no facts is a bit silly.

This is getting to become a real pain.  You have people who have to stay quarantined, elderly people who are use to watching certain shows, dementia people who are set in their ways & looking for their routine shows.  In addition, Christmas programs being missed!  We need this fixed ASAP, please!

Guess what? I'm going to save $182 per month because I dropped AT&T Uverse. As soon as I get another Internet provider hooked up, I'll also be saving an additional $52 by dropping the slow and unreliable service by AT&T. I pay for a 24 Mbps service, but am lucky to get 6-8 Mbps. If I wasn't required to work from home, I would have cut it off already.

AT&T & TENGA still have not resolved their negotiation issues. As if this is not upsetting enough, I tuned in to NBC tonight for SNF at 8:20 PM and found the same AT&T blue screen message. I followed the QR code to learn more as this has dragged on for far too long. I returned to my TV not even 20 minutes later and when switching the channels and input noticed that AT&T's message was somehow burned onto my TV. It is a brand new Samsung 4K LED TV I purchased this past June 2020. There is no way that this should have happened and I have had absolutely no issues with this or my other Samsung TV. I am beyond upset with AT&T and this is just the cherry on top.

Has anyone else experienced this same issue? AT&T has destroyed my TV.

This is not right that we as long time customers are being punished because you can not work out a deal with the local NBC station! FIX IT or we may have to leave DIRECTV after being with you since 1994.

So how much more do you want to pay for NBC?  Are you going to move again when your new providers contract expires and the channel provider removes their feed>

We cannot access ABC through our Direct TV connection. This is unacceptable. We pay way too much for this lack of service. Either fix ABC, or lower our bill. We are definitely looking for another service provider.

Your local station is owned by Tegna and they are currently in negotiations with AT&T.

If you are a DirecTV or Uverse TV customer you can log into your account and claim a one-time $20 credit.

Don't mess with old people.  The older we get, the less "Life in Prison" is a deterrent.

Not an acceptable answer. Stop being so greedy and come to an agreement with Tenga or loose your customers.

Tell it to Tegna they are the ones asking for more money, if DTV caves and pays what they are asking then your bill will go up more then what DTV was planning to raise it.

Did not all areas get turned off at once? Surprised to still see new posts of people just finding out.

AT&T (DirecTV and U-Verse TV) and the local affiliate's (Tegna) carriage agreement came up. New deal wasn't reached by the time it ended, so Tegna pulled all the channels they own (as is their right) as part of the negotiations. Once a new agreement is hashed out then Tegna will return the channels. Unfortunately this is happening more often in recent years as the local affiliates are trying to get better rates for them, which means TV providers (and us customers) would pay more.

So until the channel's are returned, they technically aren't in your package.

If you log into your account you may see if you get an automatic offer of a one-time $20 credit as a courtesy. Certainly more than the channel is worth for a single month, but a nice gesture while we weather this set of negotiations.

There are no ways without paying extra to view the TV shows on CBS. Due to the dispute with Tenga U-verse subscribers cannot use the CBS all access app to view shows that are blocked out. Then I’m told use the lotus app on interactive on the u-verse receiver...nope there is no such app on my receiver. So I can’t view the missed shows ANYWHERE. I pay way too much money for cable for this. What are you going to do about this? How will we be compensated?
