Why does it not record all of a tennis match ?
Trying to watch tennis and have it recording ALL the Roland-Garros French Open
But it KEEPS CUTING OFF THE ENDS OF THE MATCHES !
Watched last nights and todays nadal vs djokovic and it only recorded part of the darn match !
What IS Going On ? And How Do I FIX this ! Really Really (Edited per community guidelines) off About it !

Live sports events can be cut off if the Guide data doesn't take extra time into account. The solution is to also record whatever show is on after the sports event. The DirecTV Stream system is getting better about automatically extending recording time for some sports events, but it's not perfect.

Well It says it recording all of it .. the French open is on the tennis channel.
when I look it shows it recording ALL of the French open on every day and time ?
not sure what to do .. Wife is really upset at me ! lol Am am too for that matter ..
Should I cancel ALL recording and then goto the guide and pick every day and time and record them separate ? or what ?

Just set a recording for whatever airs after the French Open. Then you'll be sure to have the full recording.

That might work for a once a week tennis match but baseball games that are every day on a series team recording would be a nightmare to manually manage like this.
If auto extend is not perfect they really need to add the option to extend by X minutes every recording of a series until auto extend is perfected.

Litzdog 911, you can’t record the program after the French Open, because the DTV guide lists it as already being recorded. All 3 daily French Open sessions have an identical name on the guide, and DTV lists each session as already being recorded. But only the first session is actually recorded. Do you think There’s a way to record Tennis Channel by time and not program?

If you’re not tied to Altitude Sports or another unique DTV Stream offering, the best way to fix this is probably to switch streaming providers. Or set an alarm to turn on the French Open during the unrecorded sessions, then press record. That has worked for me if I have access to my TV or device. You can see what time the sessions cut off by looking at the guide.

Dfaris98... You're saying exactly what I just asked.. It's driving me mad because when I try to record The 1st round when it comes on for the nightmatch it won't allow me to record because it recognizes it as the same 1st round that came on. In the morning.... And anyone who watches The french open knows it always goes over... I've missed some freaking nail biters because of this... Terrible glitch that they need to Fix.

The broadcast is divided into 2 or 3 parts, one immediately after the other. Direct TV only records the first part, even though the guide says it's recording all of it. Here's the work around:
Go to the guide for Tennis Channel. Highlight the French Open broadcast. DO NOT PUSH THE SELECT BUTTON. Push the record button ON THE REMOTE while the program is highlighted in the guide. It will show it as recording. The skip to the next broadcast and highlight it. Press the record button on the remote. Sometimes it says "recording cancelled", so click the record button again to reset the recording. If it says "series recording set" that's okay. I went through the whole tournament using the guide and the record button and I have tons of extra recordings but no missed ones.

There is no record button on the Roku remote so this won't work.
