Hello: I may have to replace my HR-24, which looking at is nowadays considered to be fairly old. I see I can get a replacement from a couple of sites...all purchased essentially new (NOT from ebay), but once I get it...then what? I assume I'll need to contact Direct TV to get them to initialize it?

The house I moved into in 2020 has a direct tv dish installed. I've heard that the dish is no longer required if you have internet service. Can I get the dish removed and get the same tv reception?

I change the TV Ratio on the Receiver to 16:9, but after leaving that screen, and choosing TV Ratio again, it always flips the ratio back to 4:3. Why is this happening?

The new HR24 will not allow the user to change the "TV Ratio" from 4:3 to 16:9. You can change it on the screen, but when you go back in, the receiver has flipped your change back to 4:3. There is no way to override this bug. There is a bug in the firmware of the HR24 that needs to be upgraded, and
