$150.00 Reward Visa

I got Direct TV about four months ago and was promised a $150.00 Reward Visa. After waiting almost two months I called and was told that it had been sent back twice because my apartment number was put above my address line. (I've received mail that way before.) I was promised another card, when it didn't arrive, I called, and they said my apartment number was wrong and I would be issued another card. Then I called and was told it had been mailed on September 29th (It's now October 18th), and it still hasn't arrived. Every time I call they seem overly anxious to cancel the card and send me another, which also never arrives. Is this a scam?

You have to be very proactive to receive this. They leave you in the dark on purpose. If you don't claim it within a certain amount of time (I think 75days from initial install) then your right to claim the reward will lapse. Go to this address and enter your info to claim your reward:

I know you said 4 months ago, but you might as well try it. Good luck.

Not a scam but there seems to be an issue with the address/delivery. I would verify with DirecTV that your address is inputted correctly in the boxes in their system, especially since you mention APT was in address line 1 by itself with street address in line 2 (which should be the other way around, or all in line 1 with the apt at the end). Verify this for both service and mailing address (even those should be the same, they are 2 separate listings for those who use alternate mailing options).

With multiple attempts already, I would request a supervisor. But if still not cleared up at that point then I would go with a BBB complaint which sends the issue up to the corporate level.

A rewards card should not be this difficult. The address issue should have been simple to fix from what you've described. Either they have an address input issue on their end or shipper (USPS in this case I believe) is having issue on their end (system or carrier). Good luck.
