DIRECTV dropping OANN?
How could you bow down to the WOK cancel culture demands to dropping OANN? They do not lie! The "big lie of the 2020 election" is absolutely true. There is mountains of evidence of the election steal. All the misinformation comes from liberals not conservatives! My husband and I will be dropping Directv if you go thru this in April. I will convince all our friends and family to do likewise. This is an attack on freedom of speech and our country. Shame on you!!!!

I have not said anything about accepting the reason or not. What I have said it is entirely DirecTV's right to not pay for them anymore and that it is not an infringement on anyone's rights.
You have other options to watch OANN. DirecTV cannot censor them, but they can choose not to carry them. That is the difference. As consumers we can request that they keep the channel but have no right to force them to do so. It is their decision in the end, no matter who likes it or not.
And for anyone who cannot spell, it is DirecTV, not Direct TV. Check your bills and the brand at the top of the screen. There are actual scams out there that try to hide in plain sight using tricks like that. So regardless of how upset you may be on DirecTV's decision on OANN, please be careful on that.

Yall are silly lol. How does this silence OAN? Are they not going to be able to make content anymore? This simply is in line with every other company that has chosen not to carry OAN. Directv was the only major company to do it. So you leave directv because they won't have OAN, then where do you go? Comcast, spectrum? No of which have ever carried OAN. Maybe you should reach out to OAN and tell them not to charge more to carry their network, maybe you should stop getting upset when a private business makes a decision to not carry a network. Contracts change all the time. Let's say they kept OAN and raised your bill would you still be happy? No, you'd be complaining that your bill went up 5 dollars to accommodate how much the network charges to have access to their content. It's like yall can't be happy. You still have OAN which you can download for free, you still have news max and you still have fox news which up until a year ago was the holy grail for yall but as soon as they said something you didn't like you canceled them. So who is really going after speech? Stop blaming other for your actions and just download the app pay your bill and be happy.

The alternatives are listed on OANN's website. Seems like that would be the first place to check. But for anyone else who cannot find it, here you go.

I know that you can get stand alone OAN on Roku for $4.99 month, just looking for a provider that has cloud DVR

@Tired_of_technology we are all going to go to companies that carry oan or purchase services through OAN directly. The reason why this is a big deal is AT&T’s decision to cancel OAN will take a large chunk out of OANs operating revenue which will inevitably effect the quality of services from OAN that we have all become accustomed to.
The interesting part is AT&T chose to support mostly left wing fake news channels like CNN, ABC, PBS, NBC, etc. My bet is they will axe newsmax next.
I actually thank DirecTV for motivating me to compare my options for what I have been paying them. Note they are now one of the lower rated live streaming companies for the money. I’m going to save 50% getting sling TV ($35 a month) with a membership to Klowd TV ($2.50 a month) and basically have all the same channels I would watch with Direct TV charging $85 plus a month. More money in my pocket. If Fox ever offers a direct streaming package (rumored to come soon), the options will be even better for alacarte options given discovery, NBC, ABC are all over great packages less than $10 a month.

Check out other streaming services who also offer cloud based DVR like Hulu, Sling TV, You Tube TV and I bet you will find you can get more for your money pairing them with Klowd TV (OAN / Newsmax plus several others just for $2.50 a month) than you would have with DirecTV / AT&T.

It was insightful to learn that DirecTV streaming is now on the bottom of the list in several independent reviews as they are expensive for what they offer compared to others.

Enjoy your one stream to 3 streams on sling, Hopefully you're not a family man who also has kids that want to watch TV. And how is PBS left wing? Do you hate kids? Anyway wish you well on your endeavors. I've been a customer for 15 years and I'll stick with my 20 streams and my locals without an antenna. But hey, have fun.

@Juniper you are still missing the point. The story is far more complicated than DIRECTV simply chose not to carry OAN for business reasons. Get educated read the well documented coverage that they did so at the request of far left leaning groups to silence the right. It says it all when fake news left leaning news stations are rejoicing over the decision.
As far as your comments about a simple spelling typo caused by auto correct… it’s nothing more than a typo and does not make you any smarter than anyone else. Your obviously just a cheer leader for AT&T and DIRECTV.

@Tired_of_technology its your choice if you decide to have your children indoctrinated by left wing ideologies. Best of luck to you and your family. Many families including myself are making different choices.

No cheerleading at all. I just point out that DirecTV is free to do what they want in this matter. Just like you are free to not like it and go elsewhere.
Sigh, left wing/right wing, red vs blue, whatever happened to people making their own choices instead of holding to one group for life no matter what? Neither side is perfect or always better than the other.
Oh well, in this case OANN goes away, those who choose to do so will as well. And everybody has the rights on those choices and cannot force others to do as they wish.

@Juniper
A lot of people in this forum decided to cancel DIRECTV just like DIRECTV canceled them based on influences from the left wing mob.
As far as left and right goes, it will always be a reality as those are the two parties to choose from as far as the Oval office, House, and Senate goes. The left establishment in power has decided to divide the country through divisive policies so we are were we are. We as voters will not have any hope of putting alternative parties on the ticket any time soon. Many of us chose DIRECTV and paid a premium as they carried programming that both parties liked. Unfortunately, DIRECTV decided to cater to the far left so consumers who do not agree will have to cancel them.

Done. I already have KlowdTV, and for the rest it is either P H I L O or H U L U, decision TBD, but the family definitely decided this past week to cancel here.
Enjoy your monotonous all-left-news all-the-time.
