DIRECTV dropping OANN?
How could you bow down to the WOK cancel culture demands to dropping OANN? They do not lie! The "big lie of the 2020 election" is absolutely true. There is mountains of evidence of the election steal. All the misinformation comes from liberals not conservatives! My husband and I will be dropping Directv if you go thru this in April. I will convince all our friends and family to do likewise. This is an attack on freedom of speech and our country. Shame on you!!!!

If you are a (Edited per community guidelines), drop DirectTV. Many streaming services are available.
Management should be ashamed and really stupid. Alienating 50% of the country.

So very sad that Directv choses to cater only to certain narratives. There are millions of us who watch OANN. My next question is can I cancel my Directv subscription with this phobic change of content?

To all those who threaten "when you drop it, I drop you", here is my question. Why wait? If it is so important to you, why not just do it now and follow through? I would say if you cared that much you would go ahead and go elsewhere. Such delayed "threats" begin to sound more like tantrums.

In response to those asking why not just cancel is the point of posting here is to voice the opinion that many people do not agree with the decision to cancel OANN and ask that it be continued. I do not want to cancel, but I do want to share my thoughts. I do this by voting and by being vocal. For now, it is still a right in the USA. So Directv, and ATT, I hope you hear us, that we want to continue to have access to OANN.

Easy...So just like a Hostage Rescue Team you try to talk them down and have them
come to their senses before you have to drop the hammer on them. I have
been very happy with Directv until they got stupid; So tell me who alienates 40-50% of their customer base? In my opinion just plain stupid, should they follow through
on dropping OANN I will be gone also.

One of the issues before has been that normally people like us don't raise a ruckus, so people don't know how we feel. Its all about getting our message out and not staying quiet.

Fair enough. And I appreciate the levelheaded responses as opposed to some of the immature responses that can be found in the thread.
With that straightforward a public announcement, I highly doubt they will change direction and negotiate a new agreement at this time. They might do sometime later of course, but that would probably be quite some time if ever.
This thread is certainly a place for general voices to be heard. However, as is not a communication with official support it may only go so far. It is even possible that some of the posts may not be customers at all. If someone were to call and voice their grievance, that would be a verified customer and as such noted on the account (for whatever internal tracking they have). Those customers that take the time to call and discuss officially with their account may have more weight behind it. Though do remember anyone you talk to has no power over channel negotiations, so please do not berate the agents as is out of their control and do not demand to know their stance as that is something that should only be personally discussed by them away from work. At work, they should be neutral and only handle what is within the scope of their job.

Calling DTV/ATT is a difficult task. Wading through a circular ,misleading ,long menu , takes much time with no clear path to actually talk to anyone. Especially one that speaks fluent english..All we are asking is for DTV to reconsider our favorite news channel OAN. In this time of Cancel Censorship , we need the fair & honest reports that OAN delivers to it's very loyal watchers.

You make a great point. My husband googled ATT corporate office and called them. Every time someone answered he asked to speak to their supervisor. He got up three or four layers, and voiced his opposition to cancelling OAA contract. He asked that his comments be shared with those in charge of Directv. Evidently they have received many calls. Keep it going and make your voice heard!

Most likely DTV/ATT are getting a big sum of money to drop OAN. Who will be next..Newsmax. then Fox????? This is why there's so much inflation with these democrats.

I will be finding a new provider, also. Everything you stated in your post is SPOT-ON.
Direct TV better look at the results of Twitter's cancel policies and how that was reflected in their stock values.....
CANCEL ME, CANCEL U!

Has everyone heard that activist groups have pressured AT&T to drop OAN because they don't agree with their reporting? Here we are again with big tech controlling the narrative instead of providing news. AT&T has willingly succumbed to the pressure but will keep all the far left networks. How many other customers are considering a move as a result?
