Dropping channels from a bundle

I am not from DirecTV any more than you are. Not their employee. And one could argue the "broken record" comment is a "pot meet kettle" statement. You don't need to "apologize" for me. I am allowed to have my view like everyone else.

DirecTV may carry or not any channel they choose. This is not a violation of Freedom of Speech. They are exercising their freedoms by choosing what they will or not carry.

I respect your view that it was not a good choice to make. I don't weigh in on that point as I will let time be the determining factor.

At least most in the threads these days are being civil and leaving the toxic at the door.

Thankfully this will be over soon and those that can not take the decision by the service will be gone. It's just a channel and there are other options to obtain the content that those subscribers want.

It appears some that cry "FREEDOM!" imply that DirecTV is not allowed to choose what channels they carry or not. That Freedom works both ways. But I've seen some posts on the side for OANN that seem to think that Freedom only applies to them and not DirecTV.

Very true... but those who read the facts will quickly realize the truth has to do more with a market monopoly and collusion.  I highly encourage everyone to start with the complaint filed in the California Supreme court against AT&T and DIRECTV.   Its published on the OAN homepage along with letters from Attorney Generals and a inquiry to AT&T from the Senate.   That data coupled with the Eshoo / McNerney letter will be very insightful. 

The most alarming behavior I've seen is DIRECT TV seems to support customers rallying others to cancel news stations like NEWSMAX and FOXNEWS but shuts down anyone who brings up valid concerns about CNN or MSNBC.   I predict more channels that do not align with the extreme left will be canceled... wake up all! 

We as customers are also Free to stop lining the pockets of DIRECTV and I believe a wave already has.    

No use in crying over spilled milk. The best thing for interested people do is look at their options. I dropped DTV ( both accounts) as well as AT&T. I found a wide array of Over the Air (OTA) channels and streaming options. I added a Tivo Edge OTA which is a great DVR for OTA and streaming programs. I use Prime TV and Firestick as well as PlutoTV, NoraGo, and plenty of free aps to keep you bust trying to watch all free or minimal fees. With everything I am paying less than $20 a month. Sure beats DTV costs

Conspiracy theories from the right are running wild on this thread. I wonder if they think Dtv uses (Edited per community guidelines) space lasers to give us programming.

All this will be over very soon and the forums will have peace.

Nah… Newsmax will be target next followed  by fox. 

@Ludwick577 do you really believe the left does not have conspiracy theories?  Didn’t your gal Clinton just have to pay FEC fines over the Russia hoax?  The day after the 2016 election, the left attacked voting results.  I’m not seeing how the left is so righteous. 

Check out true the vote via google… there is far more evidence than a conspiracy.

Looks like our time would be better spent helping the RNC capture a victory in 2022 before the left takes out Clarence Thomas and gains control of the Supreme Court.  My time is limited here, not much left to do.

My time is limited as well. My shut off date is April 6. Yes, there is a lot of work to do before November 8. We'll see what kind of drama the left drums up to focus everyone's attention to something else. A new variant, perhaps. But lets make sure to get as many as possible across the southern border and get them voting cards. (tongue in cheek)
