NewsMax
NewsMax - i watched and almost dropped when OAN was dropped. If the decision to drop NewsMax is made, thats it, i am out of here, never to return. U guys are functioning with an old model of entertainment and appear determined to kill it.

This is just a public forum of other customers. We have no clue when dtv and newsmax will strike a deal.
It was indeed dropped, you can cancel by calling in (number in my greeting below) and saying ‘cancel’ to the robot. All leased equipment gets returned to a participating FedEx or UPS location with your account number. Be sure to keep the receipt given to you by the clerk so you can avoid the possibility of an equipment non return fee (ERF) as you now have proof of return.
Additionally, if you are somehow still locked into a contract, DIRECTV will charge you $20 for every month left. This is known as the early termination fee (ETF). These are restarted when you add/upgrade to new equipment or move services to another address. If you haven’t done this within the last 2 years, you should be good to cancel without the fee.

DirecTV canceled Newsmax and also just raised their monthly rate, so now I will be cancelling my DirecTV subscription. Others should do the same. You can still watch Newsmax on Sling or Fubo.

DirecTV did not break your service agreement (contract). All TV providers have that standard clause that channels/programming may change at any time. They do not own the channels so there is no guarantee of ANY channel always or ever being there. Your service agreement was for you keeping DirecTV serivce active for a set period for whatever promotion you got. That promotion was not a guarantee of channels.

And 'we' are not wanting to charge you. As mentioned in the prior post we are not employees but other customers. You were simply being given guidance on what to expect. Just like your Terms of Service (ToS) it helps if you fully read instead of skimming over and coming to the wrong conclusion.
