NewsMax

Why did DirecTV drop Newsmax?  And Please don't give me the drivel about paying M$$ for programming that your viewers don't watch.  That's not the business decision reason and you know it.

This is a public forum full of customers like you. Your question isn’t going to get answered the way you want here. You should call the business directly and ask.

DirecTV doesn't agree with the cost option Newsmax wants. They are not going to go into a full depth dive to the public on the financial reasons, only that per their decision it is not an apporpriate deal for them That is the reality. Your calling drivel doesn't change that.

If you can't live without the channel then find another provider that has is it for now. Newsmax could always come back if they present a new offer, as DirecTV's current stance is to leave the door open and willing to listen.

Your wanting to pretend the "why" is different doesn't change the fact that Newsmax is not currently on DirecTV.

Let's just put it this way Newsmax and Directv have not been able to agree to terms at this time that would be beneficial to both parties and because of that Newsmax has been taken off the Directv lineup.  You can still watch Newsmax for FREE on the Newsmax app as long as you can stream.  Why would you want Directv to make a deal that would raise our bill when you can watch this channel for free? I think we all are paying way too much as it is for our TV service and I for sure do not want my bill to go any higher.

Directv could save it's entire customer base by retaining Newsmax (and paying the $1 per subscriber to Newsmax), and eliminating 50% of it's left leaning news channels that currently overlap viewpoints with one another. The name of the game is variety.

You want to keep 1 channel at the expense of several. That doesn't make your point any more appropriate than you claim DirecTV's is.

That 1 channel has a totally different perspective than the 20 that say the same thing each day. That's called variety, but you don't want variety. You're looking for the same message.

What ever. It's free on many media offerings. Why pay for it.

Die hard fans who cannot live without Newsmax shall be happy to pay for it. Myself not caring if it stays or goes, just like any of the other news channels, so I do not want to pay increased cost for it.

Both sides did what they have the right to do. Nothing says everybody has to like it, but that is how it is.
