poor customer service
I have been a AT&T -Directv customer for 20+ years. this month I am late paying my Directv by 1 month I owe $100 . I woke up this morning to no tv and when I called Directv they told me to bad that they didn't care that 20 years of paying them means nothing. There is NO LOYALTY WITH DIRECTV

What is the problem with your TV? Any error codes, messages? What troubleshooting have you tried? If you have more than one DIRECTV receiver, do you have issues with more than the one TV?

Gotcha, sorry for the confusion. I suggest you call DIRECTV (number in my greeting below) and say ‘cancel’ to the robot to be sent to the retention/loyalty department where an agent can assist. Be sure to threaten to cancel, you may also attempt to try to get a temporary promotion or bill discount.

When you go past due, your next bill shows that with the late fee and historically shows a date you would be interrupted by if the past due portion is not paid by. Once service is interrupted, you must pay the entire balance to reinstate service. This is how DirecTV has been setup long before AT&T acquired them.
You went past due, did not call DirecTV before interruption to see about setting up a payment arrangement (pushing back the interruption date), and are blaming AT&T and DirecTV for what is your fault?
Pay TV is luxury entertainment. You don't pay, you don't get service. This is on you, not them.

So let me get this straight, you go 1 month without paying for your TV service and they turn it off. You must really think you are someone special not to have to pay for your TV service. Just because you have been a customer for 20 years means nothing would you continue to provide a service to someone if they didn't pay you? No, no one would! If you knew you were going to be late paying your bill why didn't you call customer service and talk with someone? You are here, complaining about poor customer service but when someone doesn't pay me what I am owed that makes them a bad customer because they failed to take care of something that was their responsibility. I guess what your thing should say is POOR CUSTOMER, not poor customer service!
