AutoPay date called out by AT&T makes no sense
Hi, I have been autopaying my Directv (AT&T now) bill by autopay for many, many years. Each month I go online and get an electronic copy of my bill. In recent times, my bill, take for example my July 15th bill (bills for a long time have come out on the 15th of each month for my account) which appears to be for charges from July 16th to Aug 15th says it would autpay on about August 6th and that it did. It's been that way for a long time, bill comes out on the 15th of a month and then the bill autopays in say the first week of that following month.
But now, for this most recent bill, the August 15th bill, it says it is scheduled to AUTOPAY on SEPTEMBER 28, 2020. But that is beyond the date (the 15th) when the next month's bill should generate. I only looked this up as I noticed this bill did not autopay a few days ago, say on the 8th or so of September as I would have expected.
I didn't change a thing. Granted this is the first month where I pay each year for Directv's NFL Sunday Ticket and I imagine that's been interesting this year with Covid and with ATT no knowing whether there would even be an NFL season. But why would they now be stating (again with me requesting nothing in the way of any change) that they are going to take payment for the August 15th bill a full 1 1/2 months after August 15th, on September 28th. That is beyond the 15th of September where I expect a new bill will get generated...
Any ideas what is going on??? I see where I can click a few buttons and attempt to make a manual payment and not sure if I should or not. I want to pay my bill but I don't want to break the autopay feature... Any advice??? thanks...

after ten years with DTV, ATT doubled my rate to . My aug sept. My auto payment didn't clear. I received a nasty: SERVICE SUSPENDED/IN COLLECTIONS. I haven't been able to get anywhere wit CHAT or phone contact. I have just installed a small tv antenna under $30, and ordered a FireStick. I already have 29 channels just from the new antenna. I have my laptop hooked up to my big screen. It is fun watching myself cancel a 10 yr. old account on my big screen. To bad I have to wait until Monday to complete the cancellation. 10 years, 1 missed payment and all I get is a SUSPENDED SERVICE/ IN COLLECTIONS . welcome to the ATT family LOL
