..Billing Discount Lie when Signed with Directv

We have been long time customers of Directv, then when our bill started to get ridiculous we switched and realized we were not happy and switched back to ATT/Directv.  Was obviously outright lied to by the sales agent who reopened our account and told us to just call back after 12 months speak with retention department and our discount would be honored for another year, as Directv used to do with their 24 month contracts.  I have been calling for the last three weeks, have received the most ridiculous runaround and can't get a return phone call from a Supervisor either.  AT&T is just terrible, they are refusing to acknowledge that we were outright lied to and are not being helpful in any way at all.  Their answer is for us to step down a level in our package and that way we will be paying the same we were before, what a ridiculous answer. We then had a friend call in to get info on signing up and they gave him the same lie about the discount being for two years, what kind of people are they hiring to answer these phones and lie to all of us???  If there is anyone from Directv reading this and wants to get back to me with a resolution, I would like that asap.  I am just so upset about this whole experience, I am looking into other options and will be writing to the FCC about the people that AT&T is using to answer the phones and give sales pitches.

its always been discounted for 12 of the 24 month contract  and technically your suppose to be a non customer for 2 years to be considered a new customer for the discounts. Directv/at&t wont respond to you here were all customers here and they do not read the forums,
