Can no longer login to DirecTV app on iphone
We have DirecTV satellite. I have the DirecTV app on my iphone, and use it occasionally to watch live TV or sporting events on the ESPN app. A few weeks ago, I got logged out from DirecTV on the app, and now I can't log back in. I change the password, it tells me my new password is ready to go, and then when I try logging in, I get the dreaded 204.5 care code, "this isn't the ID you set up with". I can log into my DirecTV account on my Windows PC, but I often have to change the password there in order to view my account. I've called customer service many times, and they can't seem to help.
I use the same email as my user ID on both AT&T and DirecTV. I tried changing my DirecTV user ID to a different email (on the PC), but the next time I logged in it had gone back to the old one.
Any suggestions for next steps?

On a public forum with other customers, log in issues are quite hard to troubleshoot. If you have login issues on multiple devices, the most we can assume is a migration issue from when your DIRECTV account management was switched to the DIRECTV website from the old AT&T one.
If you’ve already tried calling in and saying ‘sign-in help’ to the robot there isn’t much else we can advise.
As always, just to ensure, make sure your PC doesn’t have antivirus or ad-blockers turned on as these tend to mess up sign-up.
