can't access my directv account, just redirects to AT&T account

I've been unable for years to access my DirectTV account as it always redirects when using my AT&T user ID to my AT&T account (which doesn't include the DirectTV account details).  I don't see any way to add that DirectTV account while on the AT&T site.  Please help.

Hi @mbm555 we're happy to help you accessing your online account.

Let's start by making sure the right credentials are being used.
Here
we can retrieve the User ID that should be used to access your account.
You just need to enter in your AT&T Account number
and your billing zip code. The User ID will be sent to the email on file.

Now that we got your User ID, let's reset
 your password.

We're ready to log in! It's a good practice to clear cache and cookies
, it usually helps fixing certain problems.

In case you have more than one AT&T Service, you can link
your online accounts to manage them with a single sign-in by following these steps:

1. Go to My linked accounts in myAT&T
.
2. Select Link another account. We'll look for other IDs or accounts that belong to you.
3. If you don't see the account you want to link, choose Search for it now.
4. Enter more info to verify your identity, if prompted.
5. If we find the account on another ID, you can:
- Combine the other ID with the one you used to sign in.
- Sign in with the other ID.
- Provide the account details to get secondary online access immediately.
- Request secondary online access from the account owner.

You will find additional information that help here
.

If you need additional help, please let us know.
