Can't login to directv account

I can't login to my direct account, and no one has been able to help. I was on the yesterday for 4 hour trying get help with login

Are you trying to log in on the website or on the DirecTV app? Have you already tried resetting your password and have you confirmed you are using the correct user ID?

 

We also recommend clearing your cache and cookies. Try this and let us know more so we can better assist you.

We can help you with your online access issue @melgumm1962!

 

Can you try going to Directv's offical website and follow Forgot Email or Access ID.

 

There is a chance your ID may have been changed from the merger and that will help us verify the user name you are using is the correct one.

 

Once you have your user name verified, follow the same steps for Forgot Password and see if you can gain access after that.

 

If that still does not work out, let us know so we can further assist you.

It keeps taking me to the ATT website. There is no official website for Directv, it redirects you to the ATT sign in and it doesn't recognize my username or password. You could screw up the basic functions

No worries, let's make sure we are using the correct information by finding your user ID. All you need is the contact email address you gave us when you created your user ID.

I have been fighting the same thing for months. I have been on chats for this; called and talked to reps and have been told I would get a call from someone to help. Never happened and I am ready to switch from both ATT and Direct TV also. My ATT bill is paperless but since I can't sign in I can't look at it. My Direct TV is paper but still can't log in for any reason.  Very pathetic. When I have had chat lines I occasionally could log into ATT account once but never a 2nd time.  Since I see that this is a problem that is never resolved I am going to make a public complaint to the BBB and make a rant on Facebook.  Probably still a waste time but we will see. It is obviously a major problem that is being ignored by ATT.

I followed ur instructions beow the dotted line but i get the error message below.
I entered the correct email address, also I used my email address before to login

That email address doesn't work. Please check your entry or find your user ID another way.

Same. I was able to log in up until about a week ago. I tried to log in to PAY MY BILL, and it said the info was wrong(which wasn’t!). Then it sends me to the AT&T site. I try to log in and it asks if I’m trying to log into the correct site. Seems pretty idiotic to me but I understand mistakes happen and programming isn’t always easy to get sorted.

i don’t have the patience or free time to wait on hold for hours so if you want me to pay the bill, how about you don’t make it impossible!

my issue is fixed, I sent a message to Directv on twitter about this, below is their reply, the keyword is resynced:

I have an update from the escalation team. They have resynced your account. Can you try to login into your account and let me know the outcome. I look forward to speaking with you soon!

I’ve had it with this ATT/Direct TV login nonsense. Direct TV has the poorest support, if you get lucky enough to find it. Spending hours online, or on the phone, achieves nothing. I have spent way too much time in this circle (Edited per community guidelines) situation. Yes, I know my User ID, and password. I’ve reset, and/or confirmed them both, dozens of times over the last year, per your recommendations, and I continue to receive the same lame notices. I even set up ZenKey to see if that worked, it did not. They want you to login first with your ATT credentials. Guess what? It won’t let me login there, either. Stop asking people if they have the wrong ID, or password. Close that manual and read the complaints for a change. We refer to all posts, hoping to find an answer. You should recognize your rinse and repeat advice doesn’t work.

ATT should be ashamed of their sorry response to this widespread, and ongoing failure to solve this problem. You’re too big to actually support your customers. Please, figure this nonsense out. I doubt you’re capable after all this time. If it takes a Twitter account to resolve this, I’d rather cancel all my accounts with ATT. Quit wasting your customers time and charging us to put up with it!
