Care code 205.4

Directv login keeps giving an error code saying it’s not my ID when trying to authenticate to watch through Amazon FireStick.  This is starting to (Edited per community guidelines) me off.  I’ve cleared data and cache on the apps, I’ve cleared my browser history on my phone (which is how I’m trying to log in, the app gives you a code and then I go to the URL given to log in).  I’ve changed my password on my directv account and it’s still giving the same message.  Complete (Edited per community guidelines).

Same issue here, 3rd party apps say I.D. I use for service isn't correct. Finally called yesterday after spending hours trying to get it fixed, no mention that this is been an ongoing issue from their tech department but was able to reset my password for the fifth time. Which again didn't work in any of the third party apps.

@Trapperkeeper LOL so customer service told you they are unaware of the issue? Even though this chat has told us 5 times that it is a global issue and top priority? What are we even paying for? What a joke

Not sure, I figured it was maybe due to the AT&t DirecTV merger as well as all of their new streaming services. You would think if this many people are having issues there would be some type of email or timeline for a fix.

I wish I had seen these posts sooner.

At AT&T the Left Hand doesn't know what the Right Hand is doing.

I just subscribed to TV service and not able to login with the same error 205.4. spoke, chatted with all sort of department claiming that they are handling it, they will take care of it.

I had to ultimately cancel the service.

The App works on my iPad and on my PC but can not login on my Roku TV or Roku Stick.

I can confirm it appears to be back up and running.  I’ve been able to log in on several apps that weren’t previously working.
