Constant scam calls
Daily I get scam calls trying to give me 50% off my bill. Only makes sense that direct tv is selling my info and that’s why these scammers are calling me since I don’t get a call from any other service providers. I believe it’s time direct tv be held liable for this

Those are scam calls and the perps are getting your information off the dark web. Hang up and do not engage them.

How else are they getting information?? Dark web gives out information on direct tv accounts? Why don’t I get calls from spectrum, dish, time Warner?

Spectrum customers get scam calls to lower their bill. Same for Dish & TW.

I get calls "from DIRECTV." I get calls "from Spectrum." I get calls about my iPhones having security issues.
But I don't have any of those.
On you they got lucky, you actually have the service they're trying to scam. A lot of people do.

You don’t need an account number to get information if they have your name address last 4 of your social they can call any one of your services with that information and be able to retrieve any account information That’s why 2 factor authentication is important. You get notified when shady things happen with your accounts. How do you think they get information about your car warranty expiration?

I answered a call awhile back (I was bored) and the person didn't even know if I had DirecTV or Uverse but would I like to lower my bill.. I said I knew it was a scam and he insisted that it wasn't. I yelled a profanity at him and hung up. 😜

Lol last one I got I said I had a 65 Schwinn stingray and they assured me they could extend my warranty. I said my peddles needed replacing and would the warranty cover it. She cursed at me for a few seconds then hung up. #schwinnsneedlovetoo

I am not talking about car warranty (Edited per community guidelines). I’m specifically talking about Direct tv. These aren’t cold calls. Please stop wasting my time when you can’t even see the point I’m making&n(Edited per community guidelines)p;

As others have said, we do understand your point, we just know it’s not true. Directv is not selling your information. What you need to do is quit answering these calls. Answering them just leads to more. If you are answering because the caller ID says Directv, it’s not. Directv will never call you.

Actually I don’t answer. Sometimes I recognize the number to be direct tv but I also know they would never call. It’s simply the fact that it’s so coincidental that they call me daily
