Customer service-just wanted to sell me more services

Today, I called customer service to discuss ways to lower my bill.  Have been a customer for many years, just want to save some money.  All the agent wanted to tell me was about new services and packages.  Was not listening to what I wanted to do.  He said we would have to analyze what channels I watch  and then he would decide what I needed.  If I have to do that, I can then compare to other services and save money without using Direct TV.  Today, Direct TV probably lost a customer because they agent wouldn't listen.  I asked to speak to someone else and he just repeated the same offers as before and said maybe if I called back next month, then there might be something better.  What a waste of my time!!

There are only two ways to lower the bill, reduce the channel package or the number of TVs.  AT&T's CEO has stated they are reducing/eliminating discounts.

Sounds like they would rather have zero dollars than to discount a few
dollars a month. That's their choice. I can adjust mine to zero.

More like they would rather have fewer profitable customers than more non-profitable customers.
