Direct system being Hacked

My mother is 82 year old widow and I was checking her direct Satellite bill and she had over 10 adult movies rented. In one night! She can’t even see to turn the tv on and off much less rent movies. I call customer service and they changed it so you can not rent movies with the remote and I put a past word and hid the PPV Channels.

They would not take the charges off her bill, this is over $100.00 she is on a fixed income.

Is there any way to check to see if her system is being hacked?

not possible to be hacked, does she have caretakers? anyone living there? the bill should tell you which box it was activated from, and i think it even says rented by phone or remote. so even if one was rented it couldn't be viewed offsite meaning it will only play on the TVs in the home.Is it possible since her eyesight is failing she may have accidentally pressed the wrong buttons and rented? they don't have to be watched to be charged just rented and 10 in one night leads me to believe she got into a menu she wasn't familiar with and in a panic to get back to her tv viewing she was pushing buttons. Call them back and in the voice menu say cancel, this will get you to retention and explain the situation, you may have to call a couple times to get to someone that can or will assist with the charges.
