DirecTv Account canceled Feb 13 2021 and still waiting on my refund

Hello,

I have called multiple times and been promised that my refund of $43.66 would be coming by way of a prepaid visa credit card. Still waiting almost a year later. However, I love receiving an email every month showing I have $0 payment due and asking if I would like to return to service. WHY? after being a customer for over 10 years, this is how you treat long-time customers.

 

I just would like the money that I am owed.

I replied to @Catalina, DIRECTV Community Specialist via the messenger and no response. Now this chat has been closed. Directv you have my email address and can access my account.

@TexasBrit My Directv statement says I have a credit. I am owed the money since the account has been closed. With a  directv account you prepay (in advance). Service was ended during the middle of a service period. I have spoken to several directv customer service represenatives (800#) and they say it is owed and there was a glitch in the system processing the refund.

With a  directv account you prepay (in advance)

I don’t pay in advance and never have. My billing month starts on the first. I won’t pay my bill for January service until the end of January, that’s certainly not in advance. As noted, Directv no longer prorates your final month of service. Once your billing month starts, you pay for the full month whether you use it or not. If I were to cancel today, I’d still owe the same for January. It would be very unusual in my case to end up with an account balance that would be refunded. It’s very strange you continue to get a bill each month, even if it’s for $0. That should not happen. That is probably the same glitch preventing your refund from being issued.
