directv customer service
Since no one can answer my question, I will post it here.
In December, I changed from Dish to Directv. Part of the advertising advantages was a $150 gift card for switching. I was told that in 30 days (or so), I would receive an email with instructions on how to obtain the gift card and that I only had 120 days to use the gift card. I started contacting various numbers after two months and kept being transferred to other departments that never got back to me. Today I learned that nothing was placed on my account, so I cannot now get the gift card since it cannot be retroactively added. The gift card was an inducement to change service. I have AT&T wireless and Directv and no one seems able to help. Guess this means the company is inept since there is no one who apparently can correct their own error.

You should have received instructions in the confirmation email that DIRECTV sent to you. If not, unfortunately, it appears that the gift card balance was never applied to your account properly. If you are sure a gift card was promised by the DIRECTV agent or clearly by the website when you signed up, then if DIRECTV retention and regular support don't fess up for their mistake, it would be time for a BBB complaint.
This way, you can confirm with the confirmation email as well as the gift card that was promised to you upon signup. As this is a public forum, we would be of little assistance in getting this whole scenario sorted out.

If the gift card wasn't added to the sales order (for whatever reason) then NO ONE can add it now, always check the sales confirmation email to make sure the order is what you wanted.
