DirecTV voiding agreement over monthly price

DirecTV agreed to discount my monthly rate but continued to charge the full amount. When asked, customer support confirmed that I was offered a discount but they would not comply and my only alternative was to cancel--a deceptive practice to say the least. Now they have lost a customer who has been using their services since the late 90s.

discounted rates are for 12 months of a 24 month contract .

A new rate was negotiated to cover the upcoming 12 month period. I have the customer service agreement, dated 1 Mar 2020, outlining the agreed-upon monthly price.
