Dtv vs Sling tv

Directv keeps raising prices because they are money hungry!

Look, if sling tv can keep their prices low and still have great service why can't DTV?

two completely different scenarios. DIRECTV is not price hungry, they have to deal with the outrageous fees from the local broadcasts, NBCUniversal, premium channels and subscriptions like NFL Sunday Ticket, NBA League Pass, etc. I think you get the idea why DTV is expensive. Sling TV has NO NEAR as many premium channels and perks as DIRECTV and they don't have to worry about delivering local channels to 50 different states with all different locals. Get the idea here now?

Don't forget that a streaming service relies on other companies (your ISP and others in between) to deliver their content. DirecTV provides you equipment and sets up and maintains satellites in geosynchronous orbit.

So Sling and DirecTV is not a direct comparison at all. DirecTV vs Dish is fair as they are both satellite providers. And of course it is not unreasonable to compare against any local cable company, though it may not be 1:1 as their delivery methods are still a little different (but a lot more similar than streaming).

One company's pricing has no bearing on someone else's. Sling and DirecTV are significantly different to explain their different pricing.

How many techs does Sling employ to install and service their box?
