Gift card hassle

Directv customer support is awful. I've been getting the runaround for weeks about a $100 gift card I was promised when I renewed my service. I don't want to call someone and sit on hold for an hour only to have them direct me to somebody else where I have to sit on hold for another hour only to find out they can't help me. I feel like Directv offers this gift card but doesn't send it hoping customers will either forget about it or give up after getting the runaround. Any suggestions on how to get a resolution on this?
