How do i renew my loyalty discount for Directv?

I was receiving a $60/month loyalty discount for Directv which expired last month.  I called the general 800-531-5000 number and spoke to Max about renewing it.  He couldn't do anything for me and said he would transfer me to the loyalty customer department.  Max transferred me to Sharon who was with ATT and not Directv so she could do nothing for me.  Sharon transferred me to Teddy who was in Directv billing, not loyalty so he could do nothing for me.  Teddy transferred me to Brook who was the ATT loyalty rep and could do nothing for me.  Brook transferred my to Judy who claimed to be the Directv loyalty rep.  Judy told me this offer no longer existed. When I told Judy I currently have an offer from Comcast with over 200 channels for about 40% less than what  i'm paying now, Judy still could not do anything for me.  So i cancelled my account.  After Judy put in the cancel order (my service now expires at the end of my billing cycle), she gave me a number 888-333-0804 and told me this was the department who gave me the $60/month loyalty discount last year.  She told me to call them and since I've shown that i'm really willing to cancel my service, they probably would do something for me.  This entire call took one hour and 16 minutes.  

I then called the 888-333-0804 and spoke with Stacy who said she was with ATT and didn't handle Directv.  She transferred me to Alex.  Alex looked at my account and said since I've already put in a cancellation order, he could do nothing for me.  This call took about 15 minutes.   Directv, why do you want to lose customers who have been with you for years and have NEVER been late paying a bill???  Your service is extremely sub par and your customer service call tree is so messed up your operators have no idea what they are doing.  Time to try Comcast for awhile...

Loyalty discounts aren't always available especially right after one expires

Be aware that directtv bills you in in advance, they will NOT refund any of your money. They are basically stealing.

If you cancel even 1 day into a billing period they will steal 30 days worth of your money. If you call and are lucky enough to speak with a customer service supervisor like PM682J she will basically tell you tough luck. we have your money and that is our policy.

So Beware of this practice. I suggest you go to streaming service
