How to Cancel My Account

I have tried to contact ATT to cancel my ATT DirecTV for three days to cancel my account. The local ATT store tried to contact ATT with no luck. Apparently ATT Customer Service said to heck with Direc/tv customers nor Corporate Store Mgr's and went on vacation. My local store manager did place my request in our ATT Account so there is a record that my equipment is deactivated and disassembled. So how do I get my DirecTV account cancelled if ATT will not even answer the phone. I can't even find a way to email ATT.

AT&T stores can't cancel DTV accounts, the only way is to call. COVID-19 has closed some call centers and left the others short staffed. Keep calling.

I have called 8 times today to get support and/or cancel my service. On hold 3 hours- nothing. I called the new sales number and punched in that did not have Directv, and was interested in purchasing. I had a person on the phone in 2 minutes. So they can answer the phone immediately for new sales, and the agent said they have 200 operators working- but for support, no one. I was not aware Covid-19 only affected support personal, not sales people. AT&T/Directv is the utter worst service I've ever had.
