Is there a straightforward URL through which to NOW log on to Directv that doesn't still go through AT&T???
Now that AT&T is moving the directv website back to something much more directv centric, I've tried to create or find a simple URL like directv.com that will allow me to use my same credentials (old AT&T credentials) to log on simply to my satellite account on directv.com???
When I log off of the current long and complicated URL (with tons of redirects) and then and then use the URL I land on after logging off, I get this message as shown in the attached screenshot... Makes no sense...
Is there a simple URL that will take me directly to a valid log in page for directv.com???
thanks...

Not sure why you're having this problem. When I go to www.directv.com I don't get any redirects. What browser are you using? Have you cleared cache/cookies? Of course, I never had an AT&T account, so maybe that's a difference.

I typically use Safari... I work on a Mac (MacBook Pro)... I just now, however, used Google Chrome which I seldom use... It has the same issue. I simply started with
directv.com
clicked on "sign in" in the upper right and that opens a window that sure looks like a simple directv log in window (see screenshot)... But then note the URL which I copied and pasted immediately below... I get that either with Safari which gets used a lot and Google Chrome which gets used rarely.. Note that the URL I would be about to log in to is an AT&T based URL???
https://signin.att.com/dynamic/iamLRR/LrrController?IAM_OP=login&appName=m45917&loginSuccessURL=https%3A%2F%2Foidc.idp.clogin.att.com%2Fmga%2Fsps%2Foauth%2Foauth20%2Fauthorize%3Fresponse_type%3Did_token%26client_id%3Dm45917%26scope%3Dopenid%26response_mode%3Dform_post%26state%3DHALODTV%26nonce%3Dsdfdds8%26qmsid%3D618c384f06c7df735162eaad58e30cd1%26qmuid%3D11ad45377d92bc44dfbff853bba3ab8d%26redirect_uri%3Dhttps%253A%252F%252Fwww.directv.com%252Fmsapi%252Fdtvloginms%252Fv1%252Fauthenticate%253FnextUrl%253Doverview
And clearing ALL cookies would be a disaster... I might be willing to go seek out the cookies related only to AT&T or directv but NOT all... That breaks all sorts of other things...
So see the attached screenshot in which I even captured the URL at the top to the extent possible and tell me why it has at&t in it at all???
thoughts??? thanks...

So I went to a different device completely, my Apple iPad, that I never use to log in to business sites but did for this test, opened Google Chrome which I don't normally use (just trying to stay away from cookies etc), went to directv.com, clicked on the "sign in" one sees in the upper right corner and right out of the gate, it takes me to a page that sure enough says directv down on the form but up in the URL, it's clearly at att.com page... See picture and look to the top for the URL that directv.com --> sign in, took me to???? I clicked on that small looking (but it's not) URL and copied and pasted what it actually is... it's this... See a second picture of just the long URL itself...
So I don't get it... Seems like we are still using an at&t url to get to directv, even if you start out on simply directv.com and then click "sign in" in the upper right corner of that page...

Yes, you are. Plain and simple, Directv uses ATT’s authentication system. It took a lot of work to put that in place, that’s not something they can undo overnight and I have no idea if there is any intention to undo it. My guess is not.
