Long term customer rewards
I've been a directv customer for almost 20 years. A wireless customer for over 6 with AT&T.
There's definitely a difference in customer appreciation for long time loyal customers before Directv was managed by AT&T.
Directv would offer its long term customers insensitive that a brand new customer would not be able to get. Discounts, free movie stations for months, and it was appreciated that is why I kept the service.
AT&T on the other hand runs a different promotion. There incentives stem from new customers. Basically as a consumer these days you could save quite a bit of money every year switching companies for services. All the companies do it now but surprisingly no one is interested in keeping me past my contract. I did have one company offer to reduce my monthly payment/speed for internet services and that is only because I was moving and was forced to shop around for faster service.
In a nutshell I am going to jump on the band wagon this year and disconnect my service to save money and get more programming. AT&T i do not agree with your business plan but who am I?
Just a customer.
