No Signal - need help

I have a legacy Directtv account (had for over 20 years, started as PrimeStar) with receivers in two different locations.  The locations are about an hour away at our lake house.  Back 15+ years ago when we bought the lake house, Directtv installed the dish and linked it to our home account.  Worked that way for years.  Fast forward to last summer, while doing some fall clean up work in the yard at the lake house I accidently cut the COAX cable trimming bushes.  I went and bought a new cable, replaced the damaged one and was greeted with the search for/no signal message.  I have tried all the easy self troubleshooting tips to no avail.  I called Directtv (AT&T) on a few occasions and explained what is going on, they tell me the same thing each time.  I need a technician to come out and look at it (great, send them on out).  They proceed to ask for the address, I give them the address and they say, sir that address is not on file.  So i go back through and explain the whole scenario over again to them and they tell me they cannot send anyone out since its not the address on file.....Anyone know how I can get this resolved?

The only way to get a tech out is to put in a move order then you will have to pay $199 to place another move order to change it back.  Most likely the dish may have moved when you cut the coax, there are videos on youtube if you want to try it yourself.

I was afraid of that....since the switch to AT&T they are much less customer centric with their service, only concerned about making more money.  I have been paying over $200 a month for years and cannot even get them to send me a tech out to service their equipment LOL tell me they have no record on file....well I sure in the heck didnt install your equipment myself....HA!

You own everything but the receivers since it was installed, that is why DTV charges for service calls on your equipment.

Understood....but they made the agreement with me in the first place, sent their tech out to install the equipment, etc. .....and now that there is a problem with it there is nothing they can do? Doesn't seem right.....

AT&T will not allow the service address to be changed without a move order.

I guess i will need to schedule a new service for the lake address, and then explain whats going on to the technician! He probably wouldnt mind making a few $$$$ on the side :)
