PRICE GOUGING

Really tired of the excessive pricing without notice / and without explanation.  Had called customer service as to why the bill went from $167ish to $348 in one month - customer service rep was quite useless.  She advised that since I was on autopay, there was nothing she could do & referenced a $30 credit given to me a few months back for same issues.  It's simple gouging.  Which doesn't make sense since the billing and payment is for the month ahead.  There were no changes made to my service & billing has fluctuated greatly over the past year.  I'm currently shopping for better deals offered - even though I've been a loyal Direct TV customer for over 10 years.  Direct TV will be facing further class action suits from those of us who are sick and tired of being treated like (Edited per community guidelines) by customer service staff.

DTV only raises the base price once a year usually in Jan. but raised it in Oct. this year and emails and bill inserts are sent before then.  So any increases are due to discounts ending or PPV/On Demand purchases. You have to check you bills to see what changed.

You do not pay ahead, you billing cycle started the day you where installed on day 2 the bill is made and sent or payed if you are on auto pay,  DTV charges at the beginning of the billing cycle not the end like most companies.
