questions about the increase in my bill and how I can keep it lower
We have been clients for over 20 years. Our cost has gone up recently. I had worked out a rate of about $60 by phoning the Loyalty department some time ago. That department seems to have been disconnected. I want the rate to stay in that range and I want to get the basic grandfathered in package we have had for some time. Please help me accomplish that or we will need to change our provider.

DirecTV is losing money, so they're much less willing these days to continue sweet promotional discounts. If calling them isn't getting you the discount you like, then your only alternatives are to reduce channels/equipment, or cancel. Consider yourself lucky to have gotten those sweet prices for so long.
