Renewal without my knowledge

A guy, who said he was representative for ATT and Spectrum showed up at my business.  He said if I get a combo, I will get a discount with a 2 years contract.  I signed up with him in 2019.  When the 1st 2 bills came, they were not charged correctly. I called DirecTV and they said to call the agent.  So I called the agent.  The agent took care of it.
It's now 2024 and I decided to cancel my DirecTV.  The cancel department (aka loyalty) said I am still in a 2 years contract with them?!  She said I agreed to sign the 2 years contract back in 2023.  I have not contact anyone in regard to my DirecTV account since 2019!  The DirecTV agent proceed to email a copy of the contract.  On there, there's no signature at all.  All it says is my 1st bill would be $21.  But I have been charged $45 since.  I thought because I was a month-to-month customer, I am being charged $45/month.  Then I asked the agent on the phone, why I have been charged $45/month, she said because I had the Sport package added to my account?!!!!

DirecTV agent said they sent out notice letters.  I did not receive any!  I kept EVERY.SINGLE. mail, bill, and notices for everything.  I have files and folders stacking up in my office, sorted by month then year.  
It had cost me $45/month, which is my fault for allowing it to continue for years.  But now I am paying an EARLY TERMINATION fee because I am still in a contract, which I do not know about at all?!

Is it illegal for someone to renew my contract and add additional services to my account WITHOUT my consent/authorization and signature???

No idea if the business division has door to door salespeople but the residential division doesn't.  This forum mainly deals with the residential side.
