Screensaver mentioning NBA League Pass gifted for 2024-25 season (LP channels don't work; still locked)

For the past few days I've been seeing screensavers, on my tv (satellite service) that say:

"WE HAVE GIFTED YOU 2024-25 NBA LEAGUE PASS

AT NO EXTRA COST"

"DIRECTV

ENJOY NBA LEAGUE PASS

FOR THE 2024-25 SEASON

A $109.98 GIFT TO YOU"

(smaller print):
"Your bill is being credited to cover the cost of 2024-25 NBA League Pass® season. Subscription will be removed from account at the end of regular season."

And then the "Press any button to dismiss this screen" message

I wish I could embed these images here, but here are Imgur links:

The issue is (as the title hints at) the LP channels don't work. They're solid white on the tv guide, but actually selecting a channel shows the message saying that League Pass needs to be purchased on the account.

When checking the account at directv.com - League Pass is not there. The only "loyalty" related info on the account is the MLB Extra Innings package from last year. But there was an email detailing that before the season, and all of the DTV bills had the discount for MLB EI during the season. But there was no email for League Pass. I figured it was an error the first day I saw it (this passed Friday) but it's been a pretty consistent thing all weekend. I've both chatted with a rep on directv.com and called the 800-531-5000 number. It appears that the reps see the same account info that I do (without any League Pass present), but these screensavers are still appearing.

Has anyone else experienced anything like this? Where you're seeing an on-screen loyalty gift that does not exist anywhere in your account?

Hi, @4quarters. Thanks for bringing this to our attention. The 2024-25 NBA League Pass offer is limited to select customers who received it directly. Bernadette, DIRECTV Community Specialist
