Unable to login to DirecTV in MLB.tv app on iPad
I Want to stream the MLB playoffs on my iPad using the At Bat app. As of today I select a game, and it asks me to select my provider. I pick DirecTV and then the process opens the ATT/DirecTV login prompt. Now of course I have seen this before. DirecTV is asking for email/password for the login. The problem is that ATT is actually using a newly created username and not an email as part of the credentials. I know this because this is not the first time I have seen this. It happened with Max Go and Starz as well about a month ago. So I try to login in using email/password and it fails. I try the same combo with the DirecTv website without problems. Then I go back to the iPad At Bat app and use the username/password which also fails because the login prompt says to use an email.
I streamed to apps using my directv account for years until AT&T took over. Problems ever since.
Figure it out DirecTV.

Thanks for providing that information in regards to your DTV and MLB app.
Since you're able to login to the DirecTV app with no issues, this seems to be an issue with the At Bat App.
We'll make sure to escalate this feedback to the proper services for review.
In the meanwhile, have you tried contacting the At Bat team/MLB support to see how they support in regards to your issues?

The issue appears to be with the form presented to log in to DirecTV.
When I select DirecTV as my provider it shows me the login form for DirecTV.
AT&T merged IDs when they took over DirecTV and now the credentials are a username and password. Previously I used an email address and password. The login form asks for an email and password and seems to validate for an email address rather than a username. So I am forced to use an email address instead of the username which fails to log me in. My guess is that I am being directed to the wrong login form.
