Why can't I cancel before the end of my billing cycle?

All I want to do right now is cancel my service. They won't even do that for me. I have been a loyal customer since 1996. I called to have my service canceled and they won't cancel until the end of my billing cycle. UNACCEPTABLE!!! Absolutely provide no value to loyal customers.

That policy has been in effect for over a year now. You pay for and receive service until the end of your billing cycle.
