Yes, AT&T is really that bad. Customer service nightmare.

When it was DirecTV they were bad, but AT&T has taken lousy customer service to a new low. Forget speaking to someone who speaks English well. If you speak Arabic, it would help. I have hired day laborers who speak better English.

I called the phone number for the moving package. Of course I waited fifteen minutes, and billing got on the line. So after arguing with billing for ten minutes, I waited another ten minutes to talk to the movers guy. My question was so simple. "What kind of offers does direcTV currently have for movers." They used to offer Sunday ticket, free HBO, ect. The guy rambles on in broken English and all I could really get out of him is that they would waive the $199 installation fee. (No brainer there, I would just go to Dish if they charged me to move my service.) Finally after figuring out that this guy was not going to give me a straight answer, I just hung up.

After twenty years, I am going to cancel my service when I move. I dont have to put up with this. I shouldnt have to spend 30 minutes on the phone to get that simple question answered.

I don't recall that DirecTV ever offered anything to Movers beyond the free installation of a new dish at the new home.

You might want to do come YouTubing there. Before DirecTV was taken over by AT&T, who are trying to run it into the ground, they did lots of cool stuff like that.

[Please keep it courteous]

Actually Aaron is correct. Going back several years, Directv often used to give '

"extras" like premium channels when you moved. But that's no excuse for being rude.

Hmmm, I don't recall them ever doing that. But thanks for setting the record straight.

They used to do free Sunday ticket too. Thats back when DirecTV wanted to keep customers though. Dish is offering some great stuff for new accounts.
