5 TV's need 5 different feeds with remotes able to differentiate
I work for a County Sheriff. We have a large conference room that has 5 separate TV's on the wall, each with its own separate satellite connection, each able to display a different news station. Also each has a mini PC behind it that can be switched to by the TV source. This is a setup that I've inherited and is usually sitting idle except when some emergency arises.
I noticed that all TV's are Samsung and all volumes respond to the same commands, as well as changing source (DirecTV<->PC).
I'm researching ways I can manage the situation. I've looked into some sports-bar systems, etc... and was wondering if anyone here has some good suggestions for having 5 wall TV's all right next to each other, where each cable/satellite box needs to be able to be handled without interfering with the other satellite/cable boxes.
Thanks

I highly recommend five H25 HD receivers along with five RC66RX remotes so that each TV can be operated independently without interfering with each other. H25 HD boxes for each TV is a sleek look, especially since the H25 is extremely small.
Since you would need RF mode to accomplish this, each H25 needs an RF antenna jack (can be purchased online from sources like Solid Signal, eBay, Amazon, etc).
There are likely independent DIRECTV dealers in your area that can help you with this installation since theoretically this is a commercial location.

Thanks Detuch. I do think a commercial dealer would be a good option for me... or a home automation company. A cursory search for directv commercial dealers doesn't locate any near us here in Central California (yeah, flooding is our current emergency). I'll have to get up in the command center and pull out one of the satellite boxes to see just what they are, and if they have the identity of the installer on a label.
One difficulty I'm having along with the satellite boxes is that all 5 tv's are Samsung, all of which use the same source and volume signal.

I see, that is definitely an issue. Unless you can get some sort of RF controlling Samsung utility (not sure if that even exists), this is definitely an issue that will surround your setup.

you are stuck with the samsung issue. TVs are controlled by IR signals and as far as I know all samsung TVs use the same IR codes. That means you have to have a device that routes audio/video to a fixed input on the TVs and don't use channel change or volume on the TVs at all. Maybe the PC does that? Certainly this needs more of a sportbar setup

I'm wondering if those mini PC are already H25s?

The little PC's are just small form factor Dell OptiPlex running Win 10 and hidden behind the TV's. That part works great. Five TV/PC's have five keyboard/mouse which all work nicely.

Gotcha. Yes, those OptiPlex small form factor Dell PCs do get the job done and are affordable. I’ve had one in the past and it handled daily-life tasks very well.
