771 Error - All transponders show zeroes

My signal seemed to go out overnight, as it was working yesterday. I turned on my receivers today and they both came up with a message similar to:

"Your receiver has not gotten guide updates from the satellite in more than an hour"

I would post my Satellite transponders but they are ALL zero when I pull it up. Something is obviously wrong.

I attempted all the standard troubleshooting, power off/on, receiver reboots etc. Nothing is blocking the satellite, no bad weather, and nothing has changed in the cabling. Service has been great for a year straight until now.

I called support and after stating all this the lady went straight into saying they need to send a tech out for $50, or sign up for an insurance plan. Is this standard? Seriously I would have to pay more to have the service fixed, that I'm already paying for and I didn't do anything to? That makes no sense to me.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
