adding modem for HR54
My HR-54/700 is connected to the internet via a modem and wireless router. The modem and router are in a seperate room from the Genie. Would it be OK to install an additional Modem near the Genie and use the Ethernet port from the modem to the Genie and another port from the modem to my LG OLED TV. Would I get higher speeds using the Ethernet as opposed to wifi connection?? I do have a DSL phone outlet near the genie. Thanks

you can only have one modem but you can use multiple routers.
But why not just get your modem and router moved to the location near the genie?

All you need are net switches hard wired to the router. The modem only converts the Ethernet signal to whatever your ISP uses whether fiber, coax or phone line so you only need 1.
